Allen Hurns pulled in four catches for 42 yards and a touchdown in the Jaguars' third preseason game.

He eventually exited with "hip tightness," but should be fine and pulling Hurns was likely a precautionary measure by the Jaguars. Sleeper Hurns pulled in a first-quarter red-zone TD from Blake Bortles off a play-action fake. Hurns tacked on an 18-yard reception two drives later. In the Jags' two-receiver attack, Hurns will be the starter opposite Allen Robinson this year.

Titans WR Hakeem Nicks was forced from the team's third preseason game with a leg injury.

Nicks got his left leg caught underneath him while being tackled from behind late in the second quarter. He struggled to put weight on the leg as he hopped off the field. Nicks had two catches for 19 yards before being forced from the game.

Jamaal Charles had three carries for 26 yards in Kansas City's third preseason game.

He added two catches for 15 yards. The Chiefs barely played Charles this preseason in an effort to keep him healthy. He remains a lock for 250-plus touches as the centerpiece of Kansas City's offense. Charles should be drafted a top-five fantasy pick.

Brandon Bolden gained 12 yards on five carries in the Patriots' third preseason game.

More than the pedestrian stats, it was notable that Bolden worked as the primary passing-down back with the Tom Brady group. Bolden and Jonas Gray shared the backfield with Brady under center, as Gray handled inside runs and Bolden worked in the old Vereen Role. Bolden has emerged as the favorite for those duties, ahead of Travaris Cadet, James White, and Dion Lewis.

Jonathan Stewart managed 12 yards on seven carries in the Panthers' third preseason game.

Stewart didn't get much room between the tackles, but broke outside for 11 yards on a late first-quarter run to get Carolina in scoring position. Stewart operated as the Panthers' every-down back with the Cam Newton offense, and will open the season as a true bellcow. Stewart belongs in the fourth round of 12-team drafts. Cuff him with rookie Cameron Artis-Payne.

Jonas Gray managed 11 yards on five carries in the Patriots' third preseason game.

Gray got the start over LeGarrette Blount, who is healthy and played in New England's last preseason game. Blount didn't enter tonight until Jimmy Garoppolo came in to start the second half. Although he got no help from New England's offensive line, Gray was stacked up on his carries aside from one run that gained nine yards. The takeaway is that Gray appears to be very much in the mix for carries in New England's backfield. Gray should be the Pats' lead back in Week 1 against the Steelers.

Bishop Sankey managed 17 yards on six carries in the Titans' third preseason game.

He's at 77 yards on 20 runs (3.85 YPC) through three exhibition weeks. Sankey shared the backfield with Antonio Andrews to open the game, while David Cobb (calf) was scratched. Sankey fumbled in the first quarter, but the ball was recovered by rookie RT Jeremiah Poutasi. Another bad sign came when Andrews vultured a two-yard touchdown; Sankey doesn't profile well as a goal-line back, limiting his scoring ceiling if those runs are going to go to Andrews or Cobb this year. Sankey remains a capped-upside committee back on a what's likely to be a losing Titans team.

Marcus Mariota completed 7-of-11 passes for 99 yards and rushed three times for 22 yards in the Titans' third preseason game.

Mariota was a strict pocket quarterback in Tennessee's first two preseason games. He took a read-option play on the Titans' second drive in this one and gained 12 yards on the keeper. Mariota wasn't quite as sharp as he has been against the Chiefs -- he missed Delanie Walker for a potential big play on an underthrow -- but it's been quite an impressive exhibition season for the No. 2 overall pick. Mariota offers upside as a late-QB2 fantasy pick.
