David Peralta finished 2-for-4 with a run scored and RBI in Monday's win against the Braves.

Peralta had a 10-game hitting streak snapped Saturday against the Nationals, but he has picked it right back up with three hits over the past two games with at least one RBI in each outing. The outfielder is hitting a robust .350 (21-for-60) with six doubles, two homers and nine RBI in 16 games in the month of July to raise his average from .314 to .321.

J.D. Martinez (hand) crushed a three-run home run for his only at-bat across five at-bats in Monday's win against the Braves.

Martinez returned to the starting lineup after suffering a bruised hand on a hit-by-pitch in his debut last Wednesday. Over his past six games he has driven in 10 runs dating back to his tenure with the Tigers.
Jul 25 - 1:59 AM

Jeff Mathis collected three singles with a walk and two runs scored over four at-bats in Monday's win against Atlanta.

Mathis has struggled at the plate for most of the season but he has come alive recently. He has hit safely in a season-high six straight while collecting at least one hit in 11 of his past 12 outings. The veteran still doesn't play regularly enough to warrant using outside of deeper NL-only fantasy formats.
Jul 25 - 1:54 AM

A.J. Pollock finished 3-for-5 with two doubles, a two-run home run, two runs scored and four RBI in Monday's win against the Braves.

Pollock was a bit sluggish for several games after coming off the 10-day disabled list July 2 after battling groin and quadriceps injury. However, he has picked up the pace over the past week and a half, going 14-for-34 (.412) with five doubles, two triples, two homers and six RBI over the past nine outings.
Jul 25 - 1:51 AM

Zack Greinke allowed two earned runs, five hits and no walks with six strikeouts over eight innings in a win against the Braves on Monday.

The All-Star bounced back nicely after a subpar effort by his standards last time out. He has won four straight decisions, and he has lost just once since May 27. Greinke is 3-0 with a 2.33 ERA over 27 innings across four starts in July, his best ERA of any month. He'll be back at it Saturday afternoon in St. Louis opposite the ice-cold Mike Leake.

Twins optioned RHP Kyle Gibson to Triple-A Rochester.

Gibson is clearing out for the arrival of Jaime Garcia. The right-hander holds a 6.08 ERA over 18 starts this season. Bartolo Colon will remain in the Twins' rotation for now.
Jul 25 - 1:36 AM

Sean Rodriguez connected for a pinch-hit two-run home run in the top of the fifth inning in Monday's game at Arizona.

The veteran Rodriguez debuted in mid-July, as he needed time to recover from a severe shoulder injury suffered in a car accident during the offseason. The homer was just his second hit across 15 at-bats, but perhaps it will give the utility man a little confidence going forward.
Jul 25 - 1:31 AM

Danny Santana was hitless over four at-bats in Monday's loss in Arizona.

Santana continues to struggle at the plate, posting just two hits over the past 19 at-bats dating back to July 2. He spent time on the 10-day disabled list due to a bacterial infection earlier in the month, and he might be still building up his strength. However, he wasn't hitting all that well before the illness.
