Brian Hoyer (bicep/shoulder) is listed as doubtful for Week 17.
Connor Shaw will start against the Ravens. Hoyer, 29, finishes the 2014 season with a 12:13 TD-to-INT ratio and 55.3 completion rate. As most backup-caliber quarterbacks do, Hoyer got worse the more he played, and was ultimately benched for Johnny Manziel. Hoyer did play well enough in spurts to earn a backup job for 2015. He will be an unrestricted free agent this offseason.
Roddy White (ankle) is listed as probable for Week 17.
He'll be in the starting lineup on Sunday against the Panthers.
Chris Ivory (hamstring) returned to a full practice on Friday.
Ivory will be in uniform when the Jets visit Miami in Week 17.
Percy Harvin (ribs) returned to a limited practice on Friday and is listed as questionable for Week 17.
Harvin is often nicked up, but he's also a fast healer. Early-week indications were that Harvin would definitely not play in Sunday's finale against the Dolphins, but he may now be available. He's likely a game-time decision.
DeMarco Murray (illness) returned to Cowboys practice Friday.
Murray missed Thursday because he was sick. The Cowboys no longer seem overly concerned with Murray's surgically repaired hand. Murray needs 29 yards Sunday to break Emmitt Smith's single-season franchise record (1,773).
Rashad Jennings (ankle) is listed as probable for Week 17.
He was limited in practice all week, but is fully expected to rejoin the lineup against the Eagles. Jennings and Andre Williams figure to form a timeshare in Week 17, assuming Williams plays. Like Jennings, Williams was "limited" in practice all week. Unlike Jennings, Williams is listed as questionable.
Andre Williams (shoulder) is listed as questionable for Week 17.
He was a limited participant in practice each day this week. The Giants' beat writers have expressed no real worry about Williams' Week 17 availability, although beat writers around the country took it easy this week due to the holidays. We suspect Williams will play against the Eagles, though it will be a situation worth monitoring on Sunday morning.
The Browns have informed Connor Shaw he will be their Week 17 starter at quarterback against the Ravens.
Johnny Manziel is on I.R. and Brian Hoyer is injured. Although Shaw is limited from a talent standpoint -- he went undrafted because of it -- he did post a 24:1 TD-to-INT ratio as a senior at South Carolina, and outplayed Manziel in preseason games. Based on how poorly Johnny Football played in his seven quarters of work, we believe Shaw has a realistic chance to be an upgrade for the likes of Josh Gordon and Jordan Cameron this week.
