Johnny Cueto will undergo an MRI on his elbow on Tuesday.

Cueto was scratched from his scheduled start Sunday due to a stiff pitching elbow, but his agent Bryce Dixon said the right-hander is optimistic he's only dealing with fatigue. We should have a better idea about his status soon. In the meantime, the Reds and fantasy owners will cross their fingers.

FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal reports that the Dodgers are talking to the Braves about a deal involving Juan Uribe and Alberto Callaspo.

Some other lesser names are also involved. Rosenthal hears from one source that the deal was close to being completed as of Monday night, which explains why Callaspo was a late-scratch from the Braves' lineup. Callaspo doesn't have much value to the Dodgers, but moving Uribe would officially clear the way for Alex Guerrero to be a regular in Don Mattingly's lineup. Uribe, 36, is batting just .247/.287/.309 with one home run and six RBI through 87 plate appearances this season.

Orioles prospect right-hander Brandon Kline is set to see Dr. James Andrews on Tuesday for a second opinion on his right elbow.

Kline left a start last Wednesday with tenderness in his flexor mass area and he's trying to get to the bottom of the issue. The 23-year-old has posted a 3.66 ERA in eight starts this season with a 27/19 K/BB ratio over 39 1/3 innings.

Deibinson Romero has agreed to a deal with the Doosan Bears of the Korea Baseball Organization, according to Doosan and the Yonhap News Agency.

The Bears are expected to negotiate a buyout with the Pirates soon to finalize the deal. Romero, 28, signed a minor league deal with Pittsburgh over the winter and was batting .302/.403/.458 with six home runs and 27 RBI over 38 games with Triple-A Indianapolis this season. He has played 10 seasons in the minors, but never reached the major leagues.

Rays manager Kevin Cash said Monday that Logan Forsythe will function as the regular first baseman with James Loney (finger) sidelined.

This will open things up for Nick Franklin to get more playing time at second base. Rene Rivera, Jacob Elmore, and Tim Beckham could also see some reps at first base, but Forsythe should get most of the playing time. Loney is expected to miss 4-6 weeks.

Brewers recalled RHP David Goforth from Triple-A Colorado Springs.

He'll replace the injured Wily Peralta (oblique) on the active roster. Goforth, 26, had a 3.43 ERA and 18/11 K/BB ratio over 21 innings this season in Triple-A. He'll pitch in middle relief.

Collin Cowgill (hand) served as a pinch-runner Monday against the Padres and scored the winning run.

Cowgill was scratched from Sunday's lineup after he felt pain in his top hand while swinging in batting practice. It's unclear when he'll be ready to return to the lineup, but that the Angels were willing to use him as a pinch-runner indicates that it might not be long.

Billy Hamilton (shoulder, wrist) went 1-for-4 with an RBI single in his return to the lineup Monday.

Hamilton sat out Sunday after banging his shoulder and wrist on a slide into second base on Saturday, but one day of rest was enough. It's worth noting that he was moved from eighth to ninth in the order on Monday, which Reds manager Bryan Price is hopeful will allow him to take more advantage of his speed. Look him him to stick there, at least for the short-term.
