Red Sox activated LHP David Price from the 10-day disabled list.

Price will make his long-awaited season debut Monday against the White Sox. The southpaw allowed six runs in 5 2/3 innings over two minor league rehab starts, but the most important thing is that he didn't have any issues with his elbow. The Red Sox have been playing much better recently and getting a healthy Price back should provide a big lift to this rotation.
May 29 - 11:06 AM

Andrew Benintendi is not in Monday's lineup against the White Sox.

He'll take a seat against lefty David Holmberg. Chris Young will start in left field and fifth. Sam Travis will draw the start at first base.
May 29 - 10:44 AM

Adam Jones (ankle, hip) has returned to the Orioles' starting lineup Monday against the Yankees.

Jones missed back-to-back games over the weekend while nursing minor injuries to his ankle and hip. He'll hit second against Jordan Montgomery in his return to action.
May 29 - 10:41 AM

Todd Frazier will serve as the designated hitter Monday against the Red Sox.

The move will allow the struggling slugger to get somewhat of a breather. Matt Davidson will start at the hot corner.
May 29 - 10:29 AM

Leury Garcia is not in Monday's lineup against the Red Sox.

It sounds like a routine day off. Adam Engel will cover center field while Tim Anderson will slide into the leadoff spot.
May 29 - 10:26 AM

Tony Cingrani (oblique) will begin a minor league rehab assignment Monday with Class A Dayton.

Cingrani has been out since April 18 due to a right oblique strain, but he's finally ready to return to game action. He should be ready to rejoin the Reds' bullpen in early June if all goes well. The southpaw had a 1.93 ERA through five appearances prior to the injury.
May 29 - 10:24 AM

Chris Heisey (biceps) will begin a minor league rehab assignment Monday with Double-A Harrisburg.

It's a rapid turnaround for Heisey, who suffered a right biceps rupture while taking a dry swing during batting practice last week. He doesn't need surgery and will attempt to play through it. The plan calls for him to stay in Double-A through Wednesday before being re-evaluated.
May 29 - 10:16 AM

Daniel Nava (hamstring) will begin a minor league rehab assignment Monday with Triple-A Lehigh Valley.

Nava suffered a left hamstring strain last weekend, but it shouldn't be long before he rejoins the Phillies. The 34-year-old was batting .305/.425/.458 with two homers over 29 games prior to the injury.
