Yoan Moncada went 1-for-3 in a loss to the Astros on Sunday.

Moncada also drew a a walk, and has his on-base percentage up to .329 with a .400 slugging percentage. It's nice to see that switch-hitting infielder get on base even if the average (.214) leaves a lot to be desired. You have to be patient with Moncada -- especially in dynasty formats -- because the upside is so high. You shouldn't give up on him just yet in redraft leagues, either.

Evan Gattis hit his first homer of the season on Sunday in a victory over the White Sox.

The homer came off of Hector Santiago in the top of the ninth inning with the Astros already ahead 6-1. It's been a slow start to the 2018 season for the veteran designated hitter, as even with the homer his OPS sits at just .641. It's possible 31-year-old is losing bat speed, but it's too early to take this terribly seriously. If he's available in your leagues and you have a utility spot, he's worth picking up.

Reynaldo Lopez allowed one run over five innings in a no decision on Sunday against the Astros.

Lopez did walk four, but he scattered just four hits on the afternoon and struck out two. The 24-year-old right-hander now has an ERA of 1.50 over his first four starts of the year, and doesn't have a win to show for them. The joys of pitching for one of the worst teams in baseball. Lopez will try and earn that first victory in Kansas City on Friday against the Royals.

Lance McCullers gave up one run over six innings in a victory over the White Sox on Sunday.

McCullers had to battle in this one, as he gave up nine baserunners -- eight hits, one walk -- but he was able to limit the damage to just one run and get the victory. The right-hander still owns a 4.67 ERA on the season, and it's worth pointing out that McCullers had up-and-down moments in the 2017 and 2016 seasons as well. He'll look to keep the good run going next time out against the Athletics on Saturday.
Apr 22 - 5:43 PM

Carlos Correa went 2-for-2 with an RBI and a run scored in a 7-1 victory over the White Sox on Sunday.

Correa also walked twice, and he reached four times without putting himself out in the victory. He now owns a .309 average on the young season, and his .409 on-base percentage and .584 slugging percentage are among the leaders among shortstops in the American League, as well. It's early, but Correa is well on his way to having another spectacular campaign in 2018.
Apr 22 - 5:38 PM

Rhys Hoskins went 1-for-4 with three strikeouts on Sunday in an extra-innings win over the Pirates.

Hoskins hit was a single, and he also reached via walk. His line now sits at a sparkling .323/.483/.615. If you don't believe in Hoskins by now, you probably never will.
Apr 22 - 5:34 PM

Elias Diaz went 2-for-5 with a homer in an extra-innings loss to the Phillies on Sunday.

Diaz now has two homers on the season, with the second coming off of Nick Pivetta with a runner on in the fifth. Diaz has been excellent with the bat to start 2018 (1.117 OPS), but the reason he's on the roster is his glove behind the plate. There's zero short-term fantasy value unless Diaz becomes the everyday backstop for the Pirates or another club.
Apr 22 - 5:32 PM

Rich Hill (finger) threw a successful bullpen session at full strength on Sunday.

Hill remains on the disabled list, so he won't start for the Dodgers on Monday, but he could be cleared to rejoin the rotation when he's first eligible on April 25. He has been sidelined since April 15 due to inflammation in his left middle finger.
