Ravens RCB Jimmy Smith's season-ending foot injury was of the "Lisfranc" variety.

Smith recently underwent surgery. It doesn't affect Smith's 2014 status as he's already on injured reserve, but it means he has a tough six months of rehab ahead of him. Lisfranc injuries are among the trickier ailments a football player can suffer. Going into the final year of his rookie contract, Smith was playing at a high level before going down.

The Raiders are on pace for 1,008 rushing yards, which would be the fewest ever for a 16-game season.

If you've found the Raiders' run game to be monumentally futile, that's because it has been. Nevertheless, Oakland has trudged on giving carries to has-beens Darren McFadden and Maurice Jones-Drew. That might change in Thursday's game against the Chiefs, as ESPN's Adam Caplan has reported Latavius Murray will finally be in for a bigger workload. There's no reason to expect Murray to be a star, but it's long past time for the Raiders to find out what they have in the 2013 sixth-rounder. DMC and MJD are done.

Speaking Thursday, Raiders owner Mark Davis said GM Reggie McKenzie still had "strong support," but declined to guarantee he'll be back for 2015.

Davis tried to be effusive in his praise, but his lack of a guarantee speaks volumes. McKenzie appears to have had a productive draft, but his free-agent class has proven downright embarrassing for the second-consecutive season. There remains no real excuse for letting LT Jared Veldheer walk in free agency. Davis' lack of a guarantee is likely tied up in the fact that he could be open to hiring a coach who would name his own general manager, a la Jeff Fisher in St. Louis.

Alshon Jeffery (hamstring) returned to Bears practice Thursday, getting in a limited session.

Jeffery's Week 12 availability isn't believed to be in any danger. His status will be updated on Friday.
Nov 20 - 3:08 PM

Brandon Marshall (ankle) returned to Bears practice Thursday, getting in a limited session.

Marshall will be ready to rock for Sunday's "revenge" game against Lovie Smith and the Bucs. He's a clear-cut WR1 for Week 12.
Nov 20 - 3:06 PM

Giovani Bernard (hip) was upgraded to "full" in Thursday's practice.

According to ESPN's Coley Harvey, Bernard was "was back at No. 1 (duty) during open portion of practice." Bernard is perhaps fantasy's biggest wild card for Week 12, but it's beginning to appear as if he'll be returning to a workload resembling the one he was handling before going down. We still expect Jeremy Hill to maintain a bigger role on early downs, however. With the situation uncertain, both backs can be utilized as RB2s for Week 12.
Nov 20 - 2:59 PM

Delanie Walker (concussion) is practicing in full for Week 12, and fully expected to play against the Eagles.

Barring a setback, Walker will be good to go. Walker remains on the TE1 radar, but an uncertain fit with Zach Mettenberger, he's just a lower-end option for the time being.
Nov 20 - 2:55 PM

Calvin Johnson (elbow, ankle) resumed practicing Thursday.

Megatron's health is not a concern for Sunday's battle with Darrelle Revis, Brandon Browner, and the Patriots. Despite the tough matchup, he's a top-five WR1, as usual.
