The Panthers worked out free agent CB Cortland Finnegan.
31-year-old Finnegan retired in March, but has been working out for teams the last month. He could be a depth option with Charles Tillman sidelined. The Panthers also had Bradley Fletcher and Robert McClain in for tryouts.
Austin Seferian-Jenkins (shoulder) is listed as doubtful for Week 12.
He’ll miss his ninth straight game. ASJ hasn’t been cleared for contact despite returning to practice in Week 8. The Bucs will continue to go with a committee of Luke Stocker, Cameron Brate, and Brandon Myers.
Allen Hurns (thigh, foot) is listed as probable for Week 12.
Hurns has been injured all year, but hasn’t missed any games. He’ll likely need sports-hernia surgery after the season. Hurns is a mid-range WR2 for Sunday’s Chargers matchup.
Chris Polk (knee, hamstring) is probable for Week 12.
Polk will return after missing only one game. He shouldn't see more than 5-7 touches in a committee with Alfred Blue and Jonathan Grimes.
Cardinals CB Patrick Peterson (ankle) is listed as questionable for Week 12.
Peterson only got in one limited practice this week. Despite the questionable tag, coach Bruce Arians expects him to play. The Cardinals don't need Peterson to beat the 49ers, so it's possible he'll be held out in an effort to get fully healthy.
John Brown (hamstring) is listed as probable for Week 12.
It's an upgrade from last week, when Brown was listed as questionable. Brown has struggled playing through injuries, managing just three catches since Week 7. He's a boom-or-bust WR3 against the 49ers.
Chris Johnson (knee) is probable for Week 12 against the 49ers.
The Cardinals limited Johnson's reps this week, but his status was never a concern. He's averaging 3.2 YPC over his last three games. Johnson is our No. 16 running back for Week 12.
Anquan Boldin (hamstring) is probable for Week 12.
Boldin didn't look fully healthy last week, but still led the 49ers in receiving. He should benefit from Patrick Peterson (ankle) being at less than 100 percent. Boldin is a low-end WR3/FLEX.
