Jon Gray (foot) will rejoin the Rockies' rotation on Friday in Arizona.

We knew it was going to be at some point this weekend and now we have an official date. Gray has been on the shelf since mid-April with a stress fracture in his left foot but got through a rehab assignment with no issues.

Tyler Anderson will undergo arthroscopic surgery on his left knee.

Anderson has made two trips to the disabled list this month with a knee issue and the decision has been made to have it operated on. He's expected to be sidelined for around four weeks, so the left-hander could still be a big part of the Rockies' rotation in the second half.

Robert Gsellman departed Tuesday's game versus the Marlins with an apparent leg injury.

Gsellman looked like he might have tweaked his left hamstring while trying to beat out a grounder in the top of the fourth inning. The righty was struggling before he exited, allowing three runs on five hits over five frames. The Mets should have more on Gsellman's status soon.
Jun 27 - 8:30 PM

Astros optioned RHP Jordan Jankowski to Triple-A Fresno.

Jankowski has been pounded for six runs over 3 1/3 innings in two relief appearances this season. Brad Peacock is back from paternity leave.
Jun 27 - 7:46 PM

Astros activated RHP Brad Peacock from the paternity leave list.

Peacock is slated to start Thursday against the Athletics. Jordan Jankowski was sent down in a corresponding move.
Jun 27 - 7:45 PM

Twins sent RHP Alex Wimmers outright to Triple-A Rochester.

Wimmers cleared waivers after being designated for assignment and has decided to stick around in the organization rather than elect free agency. He holds a 4.76 ERA, 2.11 WHIP and 6/5 K/BB ratio during his multiple stints in the majors.
Jun 27 - 7:41 PM

Yasiel Puig is dealing with a sore knee in addition to a sore hamstring.

Puig sat out Sunday with a sore hamstring, and although he returned to action Monday he didn't look very comfortable. Now, he's apparently nursing a sore knee, as well. It looks like a day-to-day situation. Trayce Thompson is in right field Tuesday.
Jun 27 - 7:39 PM

Bartolo Colon (oblique, back) will start Wednesday in San Diego.

Colon had been slated to return from an oblique injury a week ago but was scratched from that outing due to a stiff back. He's apparently feeling better now. The rotund righty holds an ugly 7.78 ERA this season.
