Making his 2014 debut, Wes Welker caught six passes for 60 yards in Sunday's Week 3 overtime loss at Seattle.

The Broncos went into this game wanting Welker to be a role player on passing downs only. But that plan went out the window when they fell behind 17-3 late in the third quarter, and Welker became a favorite target of Peyton Manning. He's still plenty capable of getting open in the slot, meaning he'll be good for 5-7 catches per game going forward. But with his snaps in doubt and Emmanuel Sanders shining, Welker won't get near 2013 levels. He's also a concussion away from an extended absence.

Mike Wallace caught 5-of-12 targets for 74 yards and added a 12-yard rushing attempt in the Dolphins' Week 3 loss to the Chiefs.

The usage and targeting were nice to see, but Ryan Tannehill frequently misfired on throws to Wallace, particularly at the intermediate level. Still, with at least 80 total yards and/or a touchdown in each of Miami's first three games, Wallace continues to pay serious fantasy dividends for drafters who bought him at a lowered ADP. He'll be a rock-solid WR2 against the Raiders in Week 4.

Ronnie Hillman rushed two times for two yards and caught one pass for seven yards in Sunday's Week 3 loss at Seattle.

Montee Ball lost a fumble on his first carry of the game, but was not benched. Hillman did appear to play ahead of C.J. Anderson as this backup position remains fluid heading into the Week 3 bye. It's a competition.

Brian Hartline caught 3-of-7 targets for 25 yards and a touchdown in the Dolphins' Week 3 loss to Kansas City.

Hartline rarely scores touchdowns -- so the score was nice to see -- but he dropped a pass and now hasn't hit the 40-yard mark in any game this year. He only had 25 on Sunday despite 43 pass attempts from Ryan Tannehill. Hartline is a low-upside WR5 in fantasy. We wouldn't even roster him in 14-team leagues.

Charles Clay managed three catches for 21 yards on four targets in the Dolphins' Week 3 loss to the Chiefs.

Reportedly playing at less than 100 percent due to a knee injury, Clay has managed stat lines of 2-27, 7-31, and 3-21 to open the season. He's a TE2 until he shows better production. Clay won't even be a TE1 against the Raiders in Week 4.

Montee Ball rushed 14 times for 38 yards and caught two passes for six yards in Sunday's Week 3 overtime loss at Seattle.

Ball lost a fumble on his first carry of the game, but encouragingly was not benched. He just had no shot against a Seattle defense that was able to crowd the line of scrimmage most of the game before Peyton Manning finally abandoned the run. Things won't get much easier for Ball after the Week 4 bye, as he'll have to face the Cardinals, Jets and 49ers in Weeks 5-7. We still think his touchdown potential gives him borderline RB1 status the rest of the way. Don't sell low.

Brandon Gibson caught 1-of-4 targets for three yards in the Dolphins' Week 3 loss to the Chiefs.

He's running behind Jarvis Landry and behind outplayed by Rishard Matthews, leaving Gibson well off the radar in even deep fantasy football leagues.
Sep 21 - 8:45 PM

Daniel Thomas rushed twice for 15 yards and caught 1-of-2 targets for 21 yards in the Dolphins' Week 3 loss to Kansas City.

Lamar Miller handled 19 touches against the Chiefs and is the Dolphins' clear-lead back with Knowshon Moreno out 4-8 weeks. Thomas did get more playing time than Damien Williams on Sunday, but offers little or no fantasy appeal.
