Jon Heyman of FanRag Sports reports that the assault allegations against Roberto Osuna are of a "physical nature" and could result in a "significant" ban.

Osuna has denied that he did actual physical harm. His administrative leave was extended on Monday through May 28; the second time that his leave has been extended since his arrest for assault on May 8. Heyman mentions that previous cases for domestic violence without proof of physical abuse have received 15-game suspensions. If Heyman's sources are correct in the serious nature of the accusations, Osuna could be facing something closer to Aroldis Chapman's 30-game number, maybe more.

White Sox transferred RHP Miguel Gonzalez to the 60-day disabled list with right shoulder inflammation.

Gonzalez was placed on the 10-day disabled list on April 23, but recently had a setback and had to have a PRP injection into his shoulder in the middle of May. The move cleared a spot on the 40-man roster for the White Sox to claim Dustin Garneau off waivers from Oakland. We won't see Gonzalez back until after the All-Star break, at the earliest.

White Sox claimed C Dustin Garneau off waivers from the Athletics.

Garneau was designated for assignment on Monday. To make room on the 40-man roster for Garneau, the White Sox transferred Miguel Gonzalez to the 60-day disabled list. The White Sox need catching depth with Welington Castillo suspended for the next 80 games, and Garneau provides it. He's hitting .208/.263/.33 over 22 games with Triple-A Nashville in 2018.

Jonathan Lucroy is not in the starting lineup for Thursday's game against the Mariners.

Bruce Maxwell starts instead, and is hitting ninth against Felix Hernandez. Lucroy is still looking for his first homer in an Oakland uniform, and he's hit .267 with 11 RBI in his 39 games so far in 2018.

Padres LHP prospect Adrian Morejon was scratched from his last start due to neck stiffness.

Dennis Lin of The Athletic reports that it's not considered a serious injury, and it's understandable that the Padres are being careful with one of their best prospects in the system. In seven starts for High-A Lake Elsinore he's registered a 3.67 ERA and he's struck out 36 hitters over his 34 1/3 innings.

Mitch Haniger (wrist) is back in the lineup and hitting third against the Athletics on Thursday.

Haniger ended up only missing Wednesday's game -- plus the end of Tuesday's game -- after being hit in the wrist with a pitch. He was able to swing the bat in the cages on Wednesday, and now he's back in the middle of the order for the M's. Haniger has been one of the keys to Seattle's strong play in 2018, slashing .296/.381/.568 with 11 homers and 36 RBI over 47 games.

Astros manager A.J. Hinch told reporters that he's hopeful Josh Reddick will only miss the minimum amount of time on the disabled list with his leg infection.

Reddick was placed on the disabled list retroactive to May 21, so he'd be eligible to return for the Astros on June 1. Houston was hoping that he could recover from the soreness with a few days off, but ultimately decided to place him on the DL to open up a roster spot. On the year, Reddick has a .740 OPS with six homers and a steal over 42 games.

Orioles manager Buck Showalter told reporters that Darren O'Day is likely to get a cortisone injection in his right elbow.

O'Day was supposed to throw a bullpen on Wednesday, but the right-hander wasn't feeling healthy enough to do so. If he received the injection, the Orioles will likely have the right-hander wait at least a few days to see how he responds, and then proceed from there. It's very unlikely we see him back on the mound before the end of May.
