Cam Newton completed 17-of-26 passes for 167 yards, zero touchdowns and three interceptions in the Panthers' Week 3 loss to the Saints.

Newton was benched late in the fourth quarter with Carolina trailing 34-13. Off to a "slow start" after quiet games against the 49ers and Bills, Newton made it clear in this one he's legitimately struggling as he tries to come back from major March shoulder surgery. Newton simply didn't look healthy against the Saints' woeful defense, making only a handful of accurate throws all afternoon. He resembled 2015 Peyton Manning, lacking drive, and seeming to have no idea where the ball was going when it left his hand. His INTs were two softballs thrown into tight coverage that the Saints jumped and an over-throw off Christian McCaffrey's fingertips. The Panthers might need to consider benching Newton until he gets healthy. Fantasy owners would be wise to do so for next week's trip to New England.

Bears S Quintin Demps left Sunday's Week 3 game against the Steelers with an arm injury and is questionable to return.

His injury occurred early in the fourth quarter. Demps logged two tackles before exiting.

Josh Martin (ankle) is questionable to return to Week 3 against the Dolphins.

The Jets linebackers are playing their best game of the season in this one, so maybe the loss of Martin can get the Dolphins going despite a horrendous first half.
Sep 24 - 3:22 PM

Matt Forte (toe) is questionable to return to Week 3 against the Dolphins.

The Jets are running away with this game, so chances are Forte won't be back out there. Forte checked out with eight rushes for 25 yards and wasn't targeted in the passing game. The Jets stuck to their plan with a three-back committee with Bilal Powell getting some of the goal-line work. Fantasy owners will have a tough time trust Forte most weeks.
Sep 24 - 3:15 PM

Melvin Gordon (knee) is active for Week 3 against the Chiefs.

Gordon was a limited practice participant on Thursday and Friday but his status for Sunday was never in doubt. DE Jeremiah Attaochu, RT Joe Barksdale, QB Cardale Jones, TE Sean Culkin, LB Hayes Pullard, T Tyler Marz and WR Mike Williams round out the Chargers' Week 3 inactives.
Sep 24 - 3:14 PM

Bengals declared TE Tyler Eifert, WR John Ross, WR Josh Malone, S Derron Smith, OL Christian Westerman, OL Trey Hopkins, and CB KeiVarae Russell inactive for Week 3 against the Packers.

No surprises here. Ross and Eifert are again injured.
Sep 24 - 3:04 PM

Chiefs declared WR WR Jehu Chesson, QB Tyler Bray, OL Parker Ehinger, LB Ukeme Eligwe, DL Jarvis Jenkins, OL Mitch Morse and CB DJ White inactive for Week 3 against the Chargers.

Ehinger is out with a knee issue while Morse has a foot injury. The rest are healthy scratches. Dee Ford (shoulder), Justin Houston (illness) and Reggie Ragland (knee) are all active for KC.
Sep 24 - 3:04 PM

Jordy Nelson (quad) is active for Week 3 against the Bengals.

He's ready to roll after bowing out of Week 2 in the first quarter. Nelson is a WR1.
