Jets signed OG Brian Winters to a four-year extension through 2020.

ESPN's John Keim reports the Redskins will interview current OLBs coach Greg Manusky for their vacant defensive coordinator position.

Manusky has nine years of experience coordinating an NFL defense, most recently with the Colts from 2012-15. His defenses have been middling at best, and the wheels fell off his last year in Indianapolis. Manusky would not be an exciting hire, but Washington has yet to interview any better in their search.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports trading Tony Romo is the Cowboys' "No 1. priority this offseason."

"We know he's not going to be on the Cowboys in 2017," Rapoport said confidently about Romo. He again said Romo would like to land with the Broncos, but added Denver does not "seem inclined to make that move." With it all but decided Romo will be playing elsewhere next season, the only questions remaining are where he ends up and how he gets there. Those questions should dominate the discussion this offseason.

Redskins signed CB Tharold Simon, formerly of the Cardinals.

An underachiever for his skill set, Simon stands 6-foot-2, 202 with adequate athleticism but has been unable to earn jobs in Seattle and Arizona. Simon was drafted by the Seahawks when Redskins GM Scot McCloughan worked there.

Seahawks signed RB George Farmer, C Ross Burbank, FS Pierre Desir, DT Tylor Harris, DT Shaneil Jenkins, FB Malcolm Johnson, WR Kenny Lawler, TE Marcus Lucas, C/G Will Pericak, and RB Kelvin Taylor to reserve/future contracts.

It's the Seahawks' practice squad. Farmer is a onetime receiver the Seahawks converted into a pass-catching back. Farmer fell behind Alex Collins late in the season and will enter 2017 behind Thomas Rawls and C.J. Prosise as well.

Texans fired OC George Godsey.

It was officially announced as a "mutual parting of ways." Godsey spent the last two seasons as Houston's offensive coordinator, but Bill O'Brien retook playcalling duties in late September. Whether Godsey was a problem or not, the Texans felt the need to "part ways" with someone for their impotent offense, and it certainly wasn't going to be the guy (GM Rick Smith) who signed Brock Osweiler. The Texans are back to the drawing board at quarterback for 2017.

Texans signed RB Kenny Hilliard, DE Brandon Dunn, TE RaShaun Allen, OT Laurence Gibson, WR Tevin Jones, OLB Eric Lee, ILB Shakeel Rashad, and OG Chad Slade to reserve/future contracts.

They all finished the season on Houston's practice squad. Hilliard often impresses in preseason games, but he's been unable to get past Alfred Blue for the past two seasons.

Cowboys signed TE Connor Hamlett, CB Jeremiah McKinnon, CB Duke Thomas, LS Zach Wood, RB Rod Smith, DB Jameill Showers, CB Sammy Seamster, DE Lenny Jones, LB Jeremiah George, WR Shaq Evans, OG Kadeem Edwards, and OG Klay DeBord to a reserve/future contract.

They are mostly practice squad players. Hamlett is a former undrafted free agent out of Oregon State. He caught a 17-yard touchdown in Week 5 against the Patriots.
