Cody Bellinger went 3-for-5 with a pair of two-run home runs and four total RBI in Sunday's 12-6 win over the Rockies.

The Rockies worked their way out to a 5-0 lead heading into the bottom of the third before the Dodgers made their offensive presence felt against Tyler Anderson. Following a two-run home run by Kike Hernandez, Bellinger crunched a two-run shot of his own to draw the team to within 5-4. They would keep that offensive momentum going as the game progressed, with Bellinger coming through for yet another two-run shot in the eighth inning. The young phenom is hitting a sparkling .274/.342/.679 with 24 homers and 55 RBI in just 57 games played. He has 11 extra-base hits (including six home runs) in his last nine games.

Enrique Hernandez went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Sunday's win over the Rockies.

Hernandez connected for a two-run homer off Tyler Anderson with one out in the third inning. The long ball was his eighth of the season. He has gone yard in two of the last four games and sports a .233/.315/.503 triple-slash in 68 games overall.
Jun 25 - 9:00 PM

Ian Desmond went 3-for-4 with an RBI single, a run scored and a steal in Sunday's loss to the Dodgers.

Something of an odd game for the Rockies. While they posted six runs in the loss, they were unable to come up with any sort of extra-base hit -- just eight singles on the afternoon. For his part, Desmond's three-hit performance snapped an 0-for-12 skid. He is slashing .281/.309/.398 with five homers and 26 RBI in 51 games this season.
Jun 25 - 8:59 PM

Nolan Arenado went 1-for-4 with two runs scored and two strikeouts in Sunday's loss to the Dodgers.

Arenado has now picked up hits in nine of his last 10 games. For the season as a whole, the star third baseman is hitting a sterling .297/.348/.563 with 15 homers, 59 RBI and 49 runs scored in 77 games played.
Jun 25 - 8:51 PM

Brandon McCarthy surrendered five runs (four earned) on four hits over three innings while taking a no-decision in Sunday's win over the Rockies.

McCarthy allowed three runs in the second inning and two more in the third. He struck out two and walked four on the afternoon. Up next on the docket, a road date with the Padres. He will carry a 3.25 ERA and 1.11 WHIP into that one as he looks to bounce back from Sunday's shaky affair.
Jun 25 - 8:46 PM

Tyler Anderson allowed four runs on five hits over 2 1/3 innings while taking a no-decision in Sunday's loss to the Dodgers.

Anderson tossed a pair of scoreless frames before running into trouble in the third inning, when he surrendered two-run homers to Kike Hernandez and Cody Bellinger to almost completely erase what had been a 5-0 advantage. Anderson struck out one while walking two in the short outing. He made the start in place of German Marquez, who has been pushed back to toe the rubber against the Giants on Monday. It is not clear at this juncture whether Anderson will receive another start or be dropped back into the bullpen. Either way, he has struggled to a 6.11 ERA and 1.55 WHIP in 63 1/3 innings.
Jun 25 - 8:43 PM

Mikie Mahtook went 2-for-5 with a two-run single and an RBI triple in Sunday's win over the Padres.

Mahtook picked up an RBI triple in the fourth inning, just an appetizer for his big go-ahead two-run single in the ninth inning. That two-run knock snapped a 5-5 tie and sent the Tigers on their way to picking up a hard-earned victory in which they had to overcome an early 3-0 deficit. For his part, Mahtook is hitting .253/.282/.444 with four homers and 14 RBI in limited playing time (99 at-bats).
Jun 25 - 8:39 PM

Nicholas Castellanos went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in Sunday's win over the Padres.

Castellanos knotted up the score at 5-5 with his two-run homer off Jordan Zimmermann in the sixth inning. This was his first home run since he went deep against the Red Sox on June 11. He is up to nine homers for the year. While the 25-year-old third baseman looks to be on his way to his third consecutive season of at least 15 homers, he has had his struggles in terms of average and is hitting just .237/.306/.421 overall.
