Joel Embiid (knee) said he's expecting to play some minutes next to Richaun Holmes and Jahlil Okafor.
There could also be some Robert Covington at the four, as well. With Dario Saric as the only healthy power forward, the 76ers may have to get creative today. Holmes played a lot of power forward last year, but almost all of his minutes this year have been at center. He is worth a look in deeper leagues with Embiid on the shelf for at least four more games.
Jahlil Okafor went through all of practice on Thursday.
Even with Nerlens Noel in Dallas, the 76ers are still likely looking at a deal for Okafor. The 76ers were terrible with Okafor next to Joel Embiid (knee), but they may have to look at that combo with only Dario Saric at the four right now. Additionally, Embiid being hurt should give Okafor some short-term value.
Joel Embiid (left knee) is expected to miss the Sixers' next four games, following the recommendation of the team's doctors.
Embiid went through a full practice on Thursday but the Sixers are being extremely cautious, as expected. If he returned after four games he could play on March 3rd, but there are no guarantees -- it's worth noting that that game is the first of a back-to-back set. Embiid did say he had some swelling on Thursday morning, which obviously isn't good, but for now it sounds like Philly is just playing it safe. His owners just have to hold him in the hopes of a return in early March.
Bojan Bogdanovic could play on Friday even without a practice session.
The trade is official and he should be active, but his playing time should still be unclear. Bogdanovic will add some much needed bench scoring to the Wizards, but his numbers are certainly going to drop on his new team. He has lost most of his fantasy value.
Trade candidates Terrence Jones and Omer Asik (illness) were both missing from Pelicans shootaround on Thursday prior to tonight's game against the Rockets.
Jones is technically dealing with a thumb injury but this is more likely a trade holdout, as he's one of the players everyone expects to be moved today. Asik is listed as doubtful tonight due to his illness, but it would not be at all surprising to see both players traded in the next few hours.
Jusuf Nurkic could move into the starting lineup on Thursday vs. the Magic.
He had a strong debut with 13 points, seven rebounds, one assist, three steals and one block in 21 minutes, shooting 5-of-5 from the field. Coach Terry Stotts previously said that Nurk Alert would have to earn the starting gig, so it would be great for his value if he moved into the first unit after just one game. He's trending up in a hurry and is worth adding in standard leagues if you're OK with sub-par shooting percentages and a high turnover rate. If Nurk starts, Meyers Leonard will return to the bench.
Omer Asik (illness) was not at practice on Thursday.
Asik is not likely to be in the rotation anyway.
The Kings are "holding firm" on their asking price of a first-round pick for Darren Collison, according to NBA.com's David Aldridge.
On Wednesday, general manager Vlade Divac told Collison he won't be traded. The sense around the league is Collison will be traded, but we'll see who softens their stance. If Collison is gone, the Kings will likely sign a 10-day guy to back up Ty Lawson.
