The San Jose Mercury News reports 49ers LE Ray McDonald is likely to escape domestic violence charges.

The Santa Clara District Attorney's Office is expected to make a formal announcement soon. McDonald allegedly roughed up his pregnant fiancee back in August. He's been playing ever since, with the 49ers letting the case play out instead of suspending McDonald from within. He's started all seven games.

Isaiah Crowell said he hopes to play more this week against the Bucs.

Crowell leads the Browns with four rushing touchdowns and is averaging a team-high 4.9 YPC. This while Ben Tate has managed just 62 yards on 31 carries (2.0 YPC) the past two weeks against the Jaguars and Raiders. While Crowell hopes to play more, OC Kyle Shanahan didn't sound committed to getting him more looks, "We only play one back at a time." They trust veteran Tate more.

Rashad Jennings (knee) said the "goal" is to be cleared to play Week 10 against the Seahawks.

Jennings has already been ruled out for Monday night's Week 9 tilt with the Colts. He just began running and jogging earlier this week, but hopes to reach the point of planting and cutting on his sprained MCL at some point next week. We'd consider Jennings highly questionable for Week 10 at this point. Week 11 against the 49ers seems more realistic. Andre Williams will start Monday.

DeAngelo Hall re-tore his Achilles' tendon while at home this week.

Hall is already on season-ending I.R. because he tore his Achilles' in Week 3. It's unclear how he re-injured it at home, but it happened, and Hall had it repaired again on Thursday. It's a five-week setback, though Hall should be ready for training camp next summer. That's not a given, however, with Hall being 31 (next month) and now rupturing the tendon two times in two months.

Bleacher Report's Jason Cole reports Panthers RE Greg Hardy will ask to have his paid suspension lifted as he awaits his trial for domestic abuse.

Hardy's trial had been scheduled for November 17, but it's been bumped to after the season. Hardy's original plan was to get exonerated and then return to the Panthers, but that's obviously no longer a 2014 possibility. It's unclear if the league will be in any way sympathetic to his case.

Panthers TE Brandon Williams caught a six-yard pass in Carolina's Week 9 loss to the Saints.

The grab was originally a 12-yard touchdown, but Williams ended up getting ruled down by contact midway through his run. Williams is a high-upside reserve, but has just four total catches this season. His fantasy time doesn't appear to be coming any time soon.
Oct 31 - 12:20 AM

Jerricho Cotchery caught 2-of-5 targets for 59 yards in Carolina's Week 9 loss to the Saints.

Cotchery could have had a third grab, but let a deep reception get knocked out of his hands as he took a huge shot to the back on an under-thrown ball. A world-class touchdown vulture for the Steelers in 2013, Cotchery has yet to score this season.

Travaris Cadet rushed twice for one yard in New Orleans' Week 9 win over the Panthers, adding three catches for an additional 39 yards.

Not the night FLEX night streamers had in mind, though it wasn't a total disaster for PPR purposes. The question now for Cadet's middling RB3 value is if Pierre Thomas (shoulder) will be back for Week 10. Cadet is far from a must hold if you're in a roster bind.
