Rex Burkhead (knee) was limited at Wednesday's practice.

Jan 17 - 4:33 PM

Leonard Fournette (ankle) was limited at Wednesday's practice.

Tom Brady (hand) was limited at Wednesday's practice.

The injury is to Brady's throwing hand. His presence at practice, albeit in a limited fashion, would suggest it's nothing serious. Brady was brilliant in the Divisional Round (337 yards, three touchdowns) but will face a much stiffer challenge against Jacksonville's league-best defense in Sunday's AFC title game.

Vikings FS Andrew Sendejo (concussion) was limited at Wednesday's practice.

It's a good sign that he's practicing, but Sendejo will have to clear the league's protocol in order to play Sunday against Philadelphia. If he's unable to go, Anthony Harris will draw the start at free safety.

Adam Thielen (back) didn't practice on Wednesday.

He's reportedly dealing with a lower back injury. Thielen seemed fine in the Divisional Round—he played 75-of-79 snaps in a win over New Orleans—so it's possible the Vikings are simply treating Wednesday as a maintenance day for their best receiver. It would be a shock if he doesn't suit up for Sunday's NFC title game in Philly.

Patriots WR Malcolm Mitchell (knee, I.R.) will not be activated off injured reserve, ending his season.

Mitchell's three-week window for activation closes at the end of the business day Wednesday, and he didn't practice today. Mitchell has chronic knee problems and hasn't played this season. He has two years left on his rookie deal.

New Raiders DC Paul Guenther hopes the team re-signs impending free agent MLB Navorro Bowman.

Bowman joined the Raiders in Week 7 following his release from the 49ers and started the final 10 games. He received real strong marks from Pro Football Focus for his run defense. Bowman turns 30 this offseason and likely won't have a ton of offers at his age. We'd bet he'd welcome a return to Oakland.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports Steelers QBs coach Randy Fichtner is the "favorite" to be promoted to offensive coordinator.

Fichtner, 54, has been coaching with the Steelers since 2007 and has been the team's QBs coach the last eight years. He's said to be "very close" with Ben Roethlisberger, which is obviously a huge deal after Big Ben and ousted OC Todd Haley butted heads. The defense is Pittsburgh's bigger concern.
