Hunter Pence hit a solo home run in Tuesday's win over the Brewers.

Pence hit the homer off Brewers starter Matt Garza in the first inning to get the Giants on the board. The homer was his second in 11 games this year. After missing the first month and a half with a broken forearm, Pence is now hitting .326/.370/.535 overall.

Santiago Casilla allowed two hits but struck out two in a scoreless ninth inning to earn the save against the Brewers on Tuesday.

Casilla gave up a couple singles to bring the tying run to the plate in Carlos Gomez, but the right-hander got Gomez to fly out to end the threat. Casilla still hasn't allowed a run since April 25, owning a 1.37 ERA. He's got 13 saves, third-most in the National League.

Matt Garza allowed five runs on eight hits over five innings in a loss to the Giants on Tuesday.

Garza allowed two home runs among his eight hits, giving up runs in three of his five innings of work. He also walked three, but on the bright side, he struck out seven in the start. Garza is still winless in May, and the loss dropped him to 2-7 with a 6.00 ERA and 1.58 WHIP. Garza will look to start off June on the right foot when he takes on the Cardinals on Monday.

Madison Bumgarner held the Brewers to three runs over six innings in a win on Tuesday.

Bumgarner allowed just four hits and two walks, but a couple big hits did most of the damage against the southpaw. He was still good enough to get the win, improving to 6-2 with a 3.00 ERA and 1.13 WHIP. Bumgarner will look to stay on a roll Sunday against the Braves.

Prince Fielder stayed red hot Tuesday, finishing 3-for-5 with a three-run homer as the Rangers edged the Indians 4-3.

Fielder is in the midst of an otherworldly stretch, as he's now had five straight multi-hit games -- including four consecutive games with three hits -- and collected five home runs, 15 RBI and nine runs scored in that span. Fielder leads the league in batting average (.371) and RBI (38), and he's among the league leaders in a number of other categories. It's been quite a comeback year for the 31-year-old.
May 27 - 12:17 AM

Ryan Raburn went 2-for-3 with a home run and two runs scored in Tuesday's loss to the Rangers.

Raburn continues to start in the middle of the Indians lineup against lefties, and he rewarded his manager's faith on Tuesday. Raburn blasted a solo homer in the first inning off Rangers starter Wandy Rodriguez, his second home run of the season. Raburn is batting .309/.368/.544 in a platoon role with the Tribe.

Elvis Andrus went 3-for-4 with a stolen base in Tuesday's win over the Indians.

Andrus had a double among his three hits. The shortstop has multiple hits in four of his last five games, raising his average to .247. With the steal, he's now 6-of-10 on the year.
May 27 - 12:06 AM

Shawn Tolleson threw a scoreless ninth inning Tuesday to earn his fifth save of the season against the Indians.

Tolleson hit Carlos Santana but was otherwise flawless in the outing. He's now a perfect 5-for-5 in save opportunities since taking over as the Rangers' closer. The right-hander has a 2.82 ERA and 1.03 WHIP through 22 1/3 innings this year.
