Alshon Jeffery (hamstring) remained "limited" on Thursday.
Coach John Fox has zero interest in updating Jeffery's status, but he's expected to return following his three-game absence. He has an excellent matchup in a Chiefs defense that's allowed the most passing touchdowns in the league.
Eagles CB Byron Maxwell (quad) was a full participant at Thursday's practice.
Maxwell suffered a bruised quad early in last week's loss to Washington. Maxwell claimed he couldn't "really run" earlier this week, but his practice participation Thursday suggests that he's on the mend. Philadelphia's big free-agent signing has been among the worst corners in football this year, grading out as PFF's 95th ranked cornerback out of 104 qualifiers.
Joique Bell (ankle) was not at the portion of Thursday's practice that was open to the media.
He hasn't practiced in over a week. Rookie Ameer Abdullah would draw another start if Bell can't suit up Sunday against the Cardinals. Bell has rushed for just 22 yards on 20 carries this season, though he does have one touchdown.
49ers OLB Ahmad Brooks will miss Sunday's game against the Giants.
Brooks is attending the funeral of his 40-year-old sister. Terrible news. We'd expect Brooks back in Week 6 against the Ravens.
Cardinals WR J.J. Nelson (shoulder) has resumed practicing.
Even if he's healthy, Nelson could be a scratch for Sunday's game against the Lions. The fifth-rounder is a Dynasty-only prospect.
Eagles LT Jason Peters (quad) says he's playing in Sunday's game against the Saints.
Peters aggravated his quad in last week's narrow loss to the Redskins, but is ready to go after a few days of rest. Although he's now 33, Peters remains one of the best tackles in the game, and is critically important to Chip Kelly's offense.
Brian Hartline (ribs, thigh) remained sidelined at Thursday's practice.
Both injuries were suffered in Week 4. Aside from a 96-yard effort against Oakland in Week 3, Hartline has been a non-factor this year.
Victor Cruz (calf) will be reevaluated on Monday.
Cruz was told he'd need to wait 10 days before running after his platelet-rich plasma injection. Though there's still no timetable for his return, the Giants have not considered putting Cruz on injured reserve. Dwayne Harris has been filling in at slot receiver.
