Greg Salas secured 2-of-2 targets for 22 yards and a touchdown in Friday's preseason game.
Salas now has four catches for 53 yards and a score through three preseason games. Considering how poorly Stephen Hill has shown this summer, Salas could begin the year as the Jets' No. 4 receiver.
Rod Streater had one catch for 16 yards in Friday's preseason game against the Packers.
Julian Edelman caught all eight of his targets for 99 yards in the Patriots' third preseason game.
With Aaron Dobson (foot) and Rob Gronkowski (knee) both out, Edelman looked like the player that hauled in 105 passes in 2013. A healthy Gronkowski should siphon targets away from Edelman, but it is clear he is the No. 1 wideout in New England. He could easily top 80 catches this season. Edelman has 10 catches for 118 yards this preseason.
Denarius Moore caught two passes for 46 yards in Friday's preseason game against the Packers.
Moore was the clear-cut No. 3 receiver, behind starters James Jones and Rod Streater. It's not a role that's going to yield box-score production given the Raiders' quarterback situation. Through three preseason games, Moore has six catches for 82 yards and no scores.
Mario Manningham caught one pass for five yards in Friday's preseason game.
Manningham's second-quarter grab was his lone target of the night. The 2012 Super Bowl hero has just two catches for 22 yards through four preseason games. He appears to be on the outside looking in of the 53-man roster.
Jaguars coach Gus Bradley said following Friday night's preseason game that Chad Henne will start Week 1 against the Eagles.
James Jones had four catches for 36 yards in Friday's preseason game against the Packers.
Jones started for the second straight game and piled up a team-high 10 targets while playing into the third quarter. He nearly came down with a goal-line fade against the Packers' second-string defense, but replays showed the ball was moving as he went down the ground. Through three preseason games, Jones has six catches for 65 yards. He's going to be the No. 1 target here, but noodle-armed Matt Schaub is his quarterback. That leaves Jones as a WR4/5 type.
Preston Parker caught three passes for 52 yards and a touchdown in Friday's preseason game.
The journeyman wideout/special teamer is now up to seven grabs for 119 yards and a score through three preseason games. Out of the league last season, Parker is in position to earn one of the Giants' final roster spots.
