Browns suspended Josh Gordon for Week 17 against the Ravens for a violation of team rules.
Gordon was placed on the reserve/suspended list. WR Phil Bates was promoted off the practice squad to take his place. The Browns did not announce why Gordon was suspended, but NFL.com's Mike Silver reports Gordon missed the Browns' Saturday walk through.
Patriots.com believes "anyone dealing with any sort of injury could very very well be inactive" Week 17 against the Bills.
Bill Belichick said earlier in the week the Patriots "will do what we feel is best for our football team, period." That could include resting players dealing with nagging injuries like Julian Edelman (concussion) and LaGarrette Blount (shoulder). Both are listed a questionable for this week, and it would not be surprising if both are inactive.
Jets signed WR Quincy Enunwa off their practice squad.
Enunwa will take the roster spot of S Rontez Miles, who was placed on injured reserve with a leg injury. Waived at final cuts, Enunwa has spent his rookie season on the Jets' practice squad.
Bucs restructured the contract of TE Brandon Myers.
The details are not yet available, but the restructuring will lower Myers $2.25 million base salary in 2015 while adding another year to the contract. This deal will likely keep Myers in Tampa Bay for at least one more season.
ESPN's Adam Schefter reports the Cowboys' starters practiced this week as if they were playing in a "regular role."
Needing basically a miracle to earn a first-round bye, the Cowboys have little reason to play their starters against Washington. That appears to matter little to coach Jason Garrett, who has been consistent the starters will play a normal role Week 17. A full game may be Dallas' intent, but it would not be surprising if Tony Romo, DeMarco Murray and Dez Bryant are pulled at some point in the game. All three are risky targets in daily formats.
Steelers LCB Ike Taylor (shoulder/forearm) is listed as questionable for Week 17 against the Bengals.
Taylor got in a limited practice every day this week, but with the secondary playing well over the last several games, the Steelers may choose to hold out the oft-burned corner. That would be bad news for A.J. Green, who torched Taylor for 136 yards and a touchdown Week 14.
Chargers signed C Jeff Baca off their practice squad.
Baca is taking the roster spot of P Mike Scifres, who was placed on injured reserve with a broken clavicle. Already on their fifth center, the Chargers will hope Baca is not needed Week 17 against the Chiefs.
Lions signed C Darren Keyton off their practice squad.
Keyton will take the roster spot of C Dominic Raiola, who was suspended one game for stomping on Bears DT Ego Ferguson. Rookie Travis Swanson will start at center for the Lions.
