Dontrelle Inman caught 3-of-6 targets for 58 yards in the Chargers' Week 7 win over the Falcons.
The yards were Inman's second most of the season. Inman is a full-time member of the Chargers' pass catcher rotation, but it isn't translating to fantasy value. Even in PPR, he can't be trusted as a WR5.
Martellus Bennett snagged one-of-two targets for five yards Sunday in the Patriots' Week 7 win over the Steelers.
His only catch came early in the third quarter on an unsuccessful third-down conversion. Since blowing up for three touchdowns against Cleveland in Week 5, Bennett has managed just six catches for 53 yards over his last two games. New England still runs plenty of two-tight-end sets and Bennett never really had a chance Sunday with the Patriots leaning heavily on LeGarrette Blount. Though his stock is headed in the wrong direction, fantasy owners should still treat him as a borderline TE1 next week at Buffalo.
Tyrell Williams caught 7-of-10 targets for 140 yards in San Diego's Week 7 win over the Falcons.
Williams tied Antonio Gates for the team lead in targets, but compiled 102 more yards. Both the catches and yards were new career highs. Williams has surpassed 100 yards receiving in 2-of-3 games, and is up to 526 on the season. He's forced his way into the WR2 conversation, but has a tough Week 8 matchup in the Broncos, who held Williams to 28 yards in Week 6.
Rob Gronkowski delivered four catches for 93 yards and a touchdown on four targets Sunday in the Patriots' Week 7 win over the Steelers.
Remember Gronk’s slow start? Neither do we. Gronkowski was only targeted once in the first half but he let it rip after halftime with 80 yards on three catches. He blew past Robert Golden for a 36-yard score in the third quarter and later chewed up 37 yards on a slant route to set New England up with a first-and-goal at the five-yard-line. Gronk has averaged a preposterous 121.3 receiving yards per game with two touchdowns since reuniting with Tom Brady in Week 5. Back to being the best tight end on the face of the Earth, Gronk should be in for another absurd game next week at Buffalo.
Mike Davis rushed seven times for 21 yards and a touchdown in the 49ers' Week 7 loss to the Bucs.
Davis scored an early touchdown, but he ultimately showed a colder hand than DuJuan Harris, who wound up getting the most touches in the 49ers' Carlos Hyde-less backfield. It's safe to leave Davis on the waiver wire.
Vance McDonald caught 1-of-6 targets for 24 yards in the 49ers' Week 7 loss to the Buccaneers.
McDonald rotates with Garrett Celek and lacks fantasy value with Colin Kaepernick under center. His yardage totals are 25 and 24 through two Kap starts.
Antonio Gates caught 5-of-10 targets for 38 yards in the Chargers' Week 7 win over the Falcons.
Per Pro Football Focus, Hunter Henry out-snapped Gates 47-37, but Gates out-targeted his rookie teammate 10-3. Henry had one catch, though two of his looks came in the red zone. Nevertheless, Gates continued to serve as Philip Rivers' most trusted chain mover. He's not going anywhere. Gates needs touchdown for return on fantasy investment, but remains in the TE1 mix.
Shaun Draughn rushed once for 16 yards and caught 5-of-7 targets for 37 yards in the 49ers' Week 7 loss to the Bucs.
The 49ers spread DuJuan Harris, Mike Davis, and Draughn around pretty evenly. As expected, Draughn was most frequently utilized in the passing game. The 49ers are expected to get Carlos Hyde (shoulder) back after their Week 8 bye.
