Figured I'd start a thread for him. 2 bombs in his last two games. Tough to keep playing time in Baltimore though.

Ike Davis - 1B - Mets

Ike Davis struck out as a pinch-hitter on Saturday.

The 26-year-old first baseman went 1-for-5 with four strikeouts during Friday's rain-suspended game and is now batting .144/.228/.235 with 58 whiffs this year. The Mets are going to have to demote Davis soon.

Phillies optioned RHP B.J. Rosenberg to Triple-A Lehigh Valley.

Rosenberg was optioned to make room for Mike Adams' return. He allowed four runs in three appearances with the Phillies.
May 25 - 10:42 PM

Dillon Gee allowed five earned runs in five innings Saturday as the Mets were routed by the Braves.

Gee had a shutout through the first four frames, but the wheels completely fell off in Atlanta's five-run fifth. Gee is now 2-6 with a hideous 6.34 ERA and 1.73 WHIP.
May 25 - 10:39 PM

Jonathan Papelbon got his ninth save of the season Saturday in the Phillies' 5-3 win over the Nationals.

Papelbon struck out three of the four batters he faced in picking up the easy save. He has been excellent all year but the Phillies are playing under-.500 ball and haven't provided him with that many opportunities.
May 25 - 10:34 PM

Dan Haren yielded three earned runs over six innings Saturday as the Nationals fell to the Phillies.

Haren racked up a whopping 10 strikeouts and allowed only four hits, but two of them were home runs. He has looked good at times this season, but the consistency has not been there. Haren will take a 4-5 record, 5.43 ERA and 1.37 WHIP into his next start vs. the Orioles.
May 25 - 10:30 PM

Jake Peavy threw a complete game Saturday as the White Sox won 2-1 over the Marlins.

Peavy did not allow a run until Derek Dietrich took him deep in the top of the ninth inning. The veteran right-hander struck out five batters and allowed only six hits in his nine total frames. He is now 6-2 with a 2.97 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 63/15 K/BB ratio in 60 2/3 innings this season. The Cubs are on tap for him next.
May 25 - 10:13 PM

Conor Gillaspie hit a walkoff RBI single Saturday to lift the White Sox past the Marlins.

Gillaspie singled up the middle in the second inning, singled to right field in the fourth and then roped a walkoff RBI single to left field in the bottom of the ninth inning to score Dewayne Wise from second base. Gillaspie has a solid .298/.362/.444 batting line with three homers and nine RBI in 42 games this season.
May 25 - 10:09 PM

Derek Dietrich hit a solo home run Saturday in the Marlins' loss to the White Sox.

Dietrich's solo shot in the top of the ninth inning gave the Fish their only run of the evening. Jake Peavy largely dominated the rest of the Marlins lineup. Dietrich, 23, has three home runs in 14 major leagues games and is worth a roster spot right now in NL-only leagues. He was raking at Double-A before his early-May callup.
