ESPN Giants reporter Dan Graziano said newly-signed WR Hakeem Nicks could be inactive Week 12.
Nicks spent his best seasons with the Giants, but the offense has changed dramatically under new-OC Ben McAdoo. Even once he learns the offense enough to be active, nothing Nicks has shown the last three seasons suggests he will be a fantasy factor. He can be left on the wire.
Tyrod Taylor (shoulder) is throwing during Thursday's practice.
Taylor was limited to handoffs in Wednesday's session, so this is an upgrade. Coach Rex Ryan expects Taylor to play Sunday against this Chiefs, and this is another step in that direction. He will be a lower-end QB2 against Kansas City's red-hot defense.
Newly-acquired DE Quinton Coples is expected to be active for the Dolphins' Week 12 game against the Jets.
Coples was waived by New York on Monday. Miami claimed him on Tuesday, and he could be playing against his former team on Sunday. Coples flamed out in New York, but the former No. 16 overall pick is a much better fit as a defensive end in the Dolphins' 4-3 scheme. With Cameron Wake (Achilles') done for the year, Coples could play serious snaps down the stretch.
The Florida Times-Union reports Rashad Greene should see more snaps in his second game back from thumb surgery.
Greene played just four snaps last week against Tennessee, but he should start to steal work from both Bryan Walters and Marqise Lee. Allen Robinson and Allen Hurns remain the only fantasy viable members of the wide receiver corps.
Redskins LT Trent Williams (kneecap) was back at practice Thursday.
He will likely be limited, but the practice put Williams on track to play against the Giants. Williams will be needed against a surging Jason Pierre-Paul.
Leonard Hankerson (hamstring) missed Thursday's practice.
Hankerson seems unlikely to play against the Vikings, which would vault Jacob Tamme back into the mix as a potential TE1 streamer.
Falcons K Matt Bryant suffered a quad injury in Wednesday's practice.
Atlanta signed Shayne Graham on Thursday, indicating they have some concern about Bryant's availability. Bryant has not been as reliable a fantasy option this season, and this injury just adds further questions. There are better options available. Jason Myers has a great matchup and is available in almost every league.
Falcons signed K Shayne Graham.
With Matt Bryant dealing with a quad injury he suffered in Wednesday's practice, Graham will serve as insurance. Graham converted 19-of-22 field goals for the Saints last season but was cut in May. He will be a decent fantasy option if Bryant is forced to sit. LB Joplo Bartu was waived in a corresponding move.
