Paul Goldschmidt is absent from the Diamondbacks' lineup Sunday.

It's his first day off since late May. Daniel Descalso will cover first base.
Jun 24 - 11:25 AM

Elvis Andrus is not in the Rangers' lineup Sunday.

It's his first day off since he was activated from the disabled list last week. Jurickson Profar is at shortstop in Andrus' place.
Jun 24 - 11:23 AM

Joey Gallo (hamstring) is in the Rangers' lineup Sunday.

Gallo departed Saturday's game with a tight left hamstring, but it's evidently an issue he's been managing all season and it won't cost him a start. He's in the designated hitter spot and batting sixth against Jose Berrios and the Twins.
Jun 24 - 11:21 AM

Ryan Braun (finger) is back in the brewers' lineup Sunday.

Braun didn't start the previous five games after undergoing cryotherapy on his right thumb, although he did come off the bench Saturday. He's in left field and batting third versus Luke Weaver and the Cardinals.
Jun 24 - 11:16 AM

Jesus Aguilar is not in the Brewers' lineup Sunday.

The hot-hitting first baseman will take a seat while Eric Thames starts. Aguilar has already matched last year's total with his 16 home runs this season.
Jun 24 - 11:15 AM

Noah Syndergaard (finger) threw a 15-pitch bullpen session Sunday.

Everything went well. Syndergaard will throw another bullpen session Tuesday before then throwing a live batting practice session Friday. "Thor" has missed a month of action with a finger injury and presumably will require multiple rehab starts before rejoining the Mets' rotation.
Jun 24 - 11:12 AM

Xander Bogaerts (finger) is back in the Red Sox' lineup Sunday.

Bogaerts sat out Saturday after spraining his left index finger on a slide Friday, but he's fine. He is at shortstop and batting fifth against Marco Gonzales and the Mariners.
Jun 24 - 11:09 AM

Mookie Betts (illness) is back in the Red Sox' lineup Sunday.

Betts was scratched from Saturday's lineup because of illness, but he's feeling well enough to give it a go in this one. He's in right field and batting leadoff.
