Andrelton Simmons finished 2-for-4 with a two-run home run, two runs scored and three RBI in Saturday's win against the Red Sox.

Simmons has raised his average seven points in the month of July, thanks mostly due to five multi-hit games, including a trio of three-hit performances. Simmons won't give you a lot of pop, but he hits for a decent average and will also swipe an occasional bag.

Albert Pujols finished 3-for-4 with a double, two runs scored and two RBI in Saturday's victory against the Angels.

Pujols carries a .243 average into Sunday's series finale. That's not terribly impressive, but it is his highest mark since early June. He'll work against Rick Porcello in Sunday's game. Pujols is 9-for-26 (.346) with three doubles, a home run and three RBI with a .923 OPS in his career against the 2016 American League Cy Young Award winner.

J.C. Ramirez allowed three runs - one earned - and five hits with three walks and six strikeouts across six innings in a win against the Red Sox on Saturday.

Ramirez has alternated wins and losses in the month of July, posting quality starts in two of his past three outings while lasting at least six innings in each appearance. The win at home was a rarity, as he is still just 2-5 with a 5.10 ERA over 10 starts and one relief appearance at the Big A. He is 7-3 with a 3.60 ERA in nine starts and two relief outings. His next scheduled start is set for July 27 in Cleveland.
Jul 23 - 4:37 AM

Brock Holt was hitless over three at-bats with a strikeout in Saturday's road loss against the Angels.

Holt continues to have difficulties at the plate, posting a .175 average overall on the season. He has just five hits across 25 at-bats (.200) in eight games since coming off the 10-day disabled list July 16 after a bout with vertigo.
Jul 23 - 4:34 AM

Mookie Betts posted a double, a run scored and an RBI across four at-bats in Saturday's road loss against the Angels.

Betts has hit safely in eight consecutive outings, hitting .394 (13-for-33) with seven runs scored, a home run and seven RBI to raise his average from .269 to .280 just since July 15.
Jul 23 - 4:31 AM

David Price allowed six runs - five earned - and seven hits with three walks and five strikeouts across five innings in a road loss Saturday against the Angels.

It was Price's first loss since June 24, and it was his first non-quality start dating back to June 18. He'll look to bounce back at home next Friday against the Royals in a battle with All-Star Jason Vargas. Price is 2-1 with a 2.67 ERA over four starts at home as opposed to 3-2 with a 4.62 ERA across seven outings on the road.
Jul 23 - 4:28 AM

Josh Bell went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Saturday's loss in Colorado.

Bell has enjoyed his stay in Denver thus far, collecting five RBI in the first two games of the series. His average is down after hitting .273 last season across 45 games, but he has shown nice power and speed in his first full campaign in the majors.
Jul 23 - 3:09 AM

Starling Marte posted three singles and an RBI across five at-bats in Saturday's loss in Colorado while also adding a stolen base.

Marte managed just two hits over 12 at-bats in his first three games back from an 80-game PED suspension. However, he has picked up the pace in Denver, going 5-for-10 (.500) in the first two games to raise his average 36 points to a more respectable .263.
