Jimmy Paredes went 3-for-4 with a double, a stolen base, and a run scored, but the Orioles fell to the Astros on Tuesday.

Paredes accounted for three of the five hits the O's scrounged up on the evening. He doubled in the sixth and later scored on a Chris Davis sacrifice fly, giving the Orioles a temporary 1-0 lead. Paredes has been one of baseball's unexpected breakout stories thus far, batting .348/.374/.576 with six home runs, 25 RBI, and four stolen bases.

Scott Feldman gave up only one run in six innings to get the win Tuesday facing the Orioles.

Feldman was in line for the loss after giving up a sixth-inning sacrifice fly to Chris Davis, but the Astros rallied in the seventh to take the lead. The right-hander gave up five hits, walked three, and struck out five in what was his best outing since April 8. Feldman owns an uninspiring 5.59 ERA with a 1.55 WHIP and a 40/14 K/BB ratio in 60 innings. He'll match up with the Orioles again in his next start, but he'll have home-field advantage.
May 26 - 10:24 PM

Jeff Locke held the Marlins scoreless over 5 2/3 innings, earning the win as the Pirates won 5-1 on Tuesday.

Locke walked four while allowing four hits, but was able to dance out of danger with six strikeouts. The lefty hadn't had good results but the Marlins have been wont to help out opposing pitchers as of late. Locke has a 4.70 ERA, a 1.45 WHIP, and a 42/20 K/BB ratio in 51 2/3 innings. He'll make his next start in San Diego against the Padres.
May 26 - 10:20 PM

Jose Urena gave up five runs in 4 2/3 innings of work, taking the loss against the Pirates in his first major league start.

Urena made his major league debut out of the bullpen on April 14 but was recently recalled as the Marlins are dealing with a slew of injuries in their starting rotation. He gave up 10 hits overall, including a home run to Neil Walker, while walking one and striking out three. Urena will face the Cubs at home in his next start.
May 26 - 10:18 PM

Josh Harrison went 2-for-4 with an RBI double and two runs scored in Tuesday's victory against the Marlins.

Harrison had his 11-game hitting streak snapped on Monday. Tuesday's start was his sixth consecutive in the leadoff spot, as he was moved lower in the order at the start of May given his early-season struggles. His effort against the Marlins brings his triple-slash line up to .261/.289/.406 with four home runs, 15 RBI, and a pair of stolen bases.
May 26 - 10:16 PM

Marlon Byrd scored the game-winning run and had both of the Reds' runs in their 2-1, walk-off victory over the Rockies on Tuesday.

Byrd singled and scored in the second inning before leading off the bottom of the ninth with a walk. He was sacrificed into scoring position and Skip Schumaker's RBI double plated Byrd as the winning run. Byrd's rate stats leave something to be desired, but he's still got 10 homers, 25 RBI and 20 runs scored on the year.
May 26 - 10:16 PM

Neil Walker went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run, helping lead the Pirates past the Marlins on Tuesday.

Walker pushed the Pirates' lead to 4-0 with his two-run blast in the second inning off of Jose Urena. The 29-year-old is batting an uninspiring .259/.320/.395 with three home runs and 16 RBI on the year.
May 26 - 10:14 PM

Nick Hundley hit his fifth home run of the season in Tuesday's loss to the Reds.

Hundley provided the only offense on the night for the Rox, as his fifth inning solo homer was one of the team's four hits. Hundley actually had two of them, as he finished 2-for-3 with the blast. Hundley how has five homers and 16 RBI to go with a .317/.356/.504 line as the team's everyday backstop.
