Red Sox activated LHP Eduardo Rodriguez from the 15-day disabled list.

Rodriguez, who injured his knee during spring training, will finally make his season debut Tuesday against the Orioles. The 23-year-old tossed seven innings of one-run ball with a 7/1 K/BB ratio in his final minor league rehab start last week. He showed some promise as a rookie last season, but most fantasy owners can afford to see how he fares for his first start or two before making him active.

Mariners prospect right-hander Edwin Diaz has allowed one run in 9 2/3 innings with a 14/1 K/BB ratio since being moved to the bullpen with Double-A Jackson.

Diaz, who is regarded as the Mariners' best pitching prospect, appeared in back-to-back games for the first time over the weekend. The 22-year-old was moved to the bullpen in mid-May and could find his way to the majors in short order.

Miguel Rojas left Monday's game against the Pirates with right shoulder irritation.

Rojas felt something on a swing during an at-bat in the third inning and was replaced by Derek Dietrich at second base. He'll be re-evaluated on Tuesday morning, but the hope is that he'll only miss a few days and avoid a stint on the disabled list.

Carlos Beltran (back) went 1-for-3 with a run scored in his return to the lineup Monday against the Blue Jays.

Beltran sat out Sunday after leaving Saturday's game with a back issue, but he was able to return as the DH on Monday. It's unclear if he'll remain in the DH spot on Tuesday and keep Alex Rodriguez on the bench.

Logan Forsythe (shoulder) hit off a tee Monday at Tropicana Field.

Forsythe continues to make steady progress from a fracture in his left shoulder blade. He's aiming to return in mid-June. The 29-year-old was batting .308/.398/.523 with four homers and 12 RBI in 29 games prior to the injury.
May 31 - 8:30 AM

Steve Pearce left Monday's game against the Royals after eight innings due to right elbow irritation.

Pearce said his elbow has been an issue "for a while," but that he didn't feel it on a swing until Monday. The hope is that he'll be ready to go on Tuesday.

Mike Moustakas is getting a second opinion on his right knee from Dr. James Andrews.

Moustakas was diagnosed with a torn ACL in his right knee last week following a collision with teammate Alex Gordon. The second opinion was planned and isn't expected to change anything. The Royals aren't counting on having him in their lineup again until 2017.

Jhoulys Chacin struck out 10 in his third career complete game as the Angels beat the Tigers 5-1 on Monday.

That as many strikeouts as he had in his first three starts for the Angels combined. Chacin allowed a total of four hits and walked one in what was his best start since he was let go by the Rockies prior to last season. While he's done solid work for the Braves and now the Halos, he's still a poor investment in fantasy leagues.
