Chiefs WR Junior Hemingway (hamstring) is practicing in full for Week 9.

The ineffective role player played through his hamstring injury in Week 8, and avoided setbacks. Hemingway is off the fantasy radar.

Jamaal Charles is on the Week 9 injury report with a back injury, but is practicing in full.

Charles isn't injured. He's a top-three option against the Jets in a game the Chiefs should control from start to finish.

Jaguars WR Allen Hurns (ankle) was upgraded to "full" on Thursday.

The WR5/6 will be fine for Sunday's game against the Bengals.

Cecil Shorts is listed on the Week 9 injury report with a groin issue, but is practicing in full.

Shorts tweaked something in last week's loss to the Dolphins — apparently his groin — but only missed 2-3 snaps. Even with six teams on bye for Week 9, Shorts is best utilized as a WR4 in standard leagues.

Broncos RB Juwan Thompson is listed on the Week 9 injury report with a knee issue, but is practicing in full.

He'll be good to go for Sunday's showdown with the Pats. Thompson is an RB4 entirely reliant on vulturing scores from Ronnie Hillman.

Michael Floyd is listed on the Week 9 injury report with a knee issue, but practicing in full.

Floyd tweaked his knee against the Eagles, but remained in the game. Particularly with six teams on bye this week, owners have to shake off Floyd's Week 8 doughnut and fire him up as a high-upside WR2.
Oct 30 - 6:28 PM

Jets RB Chris Johnson says he has "nothing to be excited about or look forward to" because he isn't playing enough.

Ever the team player, Johnson said he doesn't want to be viewed as a "complainer," but then went on to heartily complain about his role. "This is the first time I've ever felt this type of frustration, but there's nothing I can really do about it right now," Johnson said. Averaging just eight touches over his past five games, Johnson is managing a modest 4.0 yards per carry this season. Considering his usage, that number should be much higher. A shell of the player who rushed for 2,000 yards in 2009, Johnson will soon be out of the league if he can't accept that he's a role player at this stage of his career.
Oct 30 - 6:09 PM

Trent Richardson (hamstring) is absent from the Week 9 injury report.

It means he's all-systems-go for Monday's game against the Giants after being limited to emergency duties in Week 8. Speaking Thursday, Colts coach Chuck Pagano said he planned to employ his standard two-back attack of Richardson and Ahmad Bradshaw in New York. That should mean 15-20 touches for T-Rich, and looks around the goal-line. Richardson is an RB2 for Week 9 despite his 3.5 YPC.
