A.J. Pollock went 2-for-5 with a homer and two runs scored in Thursday's 8-1 win versus the Rockies.

Pollock hit his 10th homer of the year off Chris Rusin in the sixth inning. The outfielder has been an unsung fantasy stud so far this year. He's batting .301 and is on pace for 21 homers, 74 RBI, 107 runs and 33 steals. That type of production would threaten for a top-five fantasy outfielder finish.

Yasmany Tomas smacked a two-run double in Thursday's win against the Rockies.

The seventh-inning drive off of Scott Oberg plated A.J. Pollock and Paul Goldschmidt and gave the Diamondbacks a 5-1 lead in the eventual 8-1 victory. The Tomas investment looked like an early flop, but he's slashing a tasty .318/.359/.441 through 220 at-bats. If the power comes and the average doesn't suffer because of it, he's going to be a fantasy star.
Jul 3 - 1:08 AM

Jeremy Hellickson tossed seven innings of one-run ball and struck out six in Thursday's triumph over the Rockies.

He only allowed three hits and didn't walk a batter. Don't look now, but Hell Boy boasts a 27/2 K/BB rate over his last four starts, bagging quality starts in three of them. At long last he can be trusted in NL-only leagues. He gets the Rangers next time around.
Jul 3 - 1:03 AM

Chris Rusin allowed six hits and three runs -- one earned -- over six frames in a loss to Arizona on Thursday.

Rusin whiffed six and walked two. He's now 3-3 with a 4.27 ERA in 46-plus innings, surpassing expectations, but that will change any day now, as his 1.55 WHIP and 32/14 K/BB rate both portend rough times ahead. Steer clear in fantasy.
Jul 3 - 12:56 AM

Marcus Semien hit a solo homer in a 4-0 win versus Seattle on Thursday.

Semien finished 1-for-3. His big contribution of the night was talking Roenis Elias deep in the fifth inning to give the A's a 3-0 cushion. Semien is slashing .259/.309/.402 and is on pace for 14 homers and 12 steals.
Jul 3 - 12:53 AM

Josh Phegley went 1-for-4 with two RBI in Thursday's win over the Mariners.

Phegley has been stellar in a part-time role for the A's, slashing .280/.333/.523 in 107 at-bats. He's also been an asset throwing out potential base robbers.
Jul 3 - 12:50 AM

Scott Kazmir fired eight innings of shutout ball, scattering two hits, against the Mariners in Thursday's 4-0 victory.

He punched out seven and walked zero in the dominant outing. This was the second time in less than a month that Kazmir threw eight shutout innings. Kazmir (5-5, 2.56 ERA) has a tougher assignment next time out in New York against the Yankees.
Jul 3 - 12:47 AM

Roenis Elias surrendered three runs on three hits across six innings in a loss to the A's on Thursday.

He struck out seven and walked one. Elias was touched for two runs in the first, mostly settling in for a smooth five innings to come after that. Unfortunately, Scott Kazmir put up eight zeroes across from him, dropping Elias to 4-6 with a 4.27 ERA and 1.24 WHIP.
