General manager Ryan McDonough said Marquese Chriss needs to show more consistency.

"In some ways, if he's able to show that consistency that that'll help dictate what we do or don't do this summer," McDonough said. Chriss' sophomore season has been a bit of a nightmare and it's led to him losing playing time. The inconsistency makes him tough to own in shallower leagues.

Coach Gregg Popovich said the Spurs "need to find exactly what we have" with Dejounte Murray.

"It’s time," Pop said. Well, that should mean Murray is going to be starting for the foreseeable future. Murray has started every game he's been active since Jan. 21, averaging 10.5 points, 7.5 boards, 4.2 assists, 1.4 steals and 0.6 blocks on 48.6 percent from the fielding 73.3 percent from the line over those 25.8 minutes per game. Expect him to be busy to finish this season.

Ersan Ilyasova is expected to remain the starting power forward.

The Hawks did sit Ilyasova, Dennis Schroder and Kent Bazemore last week, but coach Mike Budenholzer said he expects to stay the course with his rotation. "I think we’ve been a mix of young and veteran guys all year," he said Wednesday. "I think the way we progressed through the season — of course when you start the season you think it could be a little different —[but] right now but I think the way we’ve played, and the way we continue to play, won’t be that much different." Ilyasova's minutes will likely be inconsistent, so he may be tough to hold in shallower fantasy leagues.

Alex Abrines (left hip contusion) participated in non-contact work on Tuesday and went through full practice on Wednesday with no restrictions.

That should put him on track to play against the Kings on Thursday. Abrines suffered the injury on Feb. 14 before the All-Star break, but it sounds like it's a minor ailment. He'll be looking at minutes in the low 20s and only has value in very deep leagues.
Feb 21 - 4:56 PM

Trevor Ariza (hamstring) returned to practice on Wednesday, and he will play on Friday against the Wolves.

He's been working out full speed for at least a week, so he should be ready to roll for Friday night and may not even have restrictions. Ariza suffered his injury on Jan. 28, so he's had three weeks to recover. His return means Luc Mbah a Moute, P.J. Tucker and Gerald Green will lose minutes. Ariza should be owned in all leagues.
Feb 21 - 4:52 PM

Reggie Bullock (illness) did not practice on Wednesday.

Hopefully, Bullock will be well enough to play in Friday's game against the Celtics. If Bullock can't suit up, that would mean more minutes for Luke Kennard, Stanley Johnson and maybe Langston Galloway.
Feb 21 - 4:20 PM

Rodney McGruder (leg) practiced on Wednesday.

Coach Erik Spoelstra wouldn't commit to McGruder playing on Friday against the Pelicans. McGruder had surgery on his leg for a stress reaction back in October and he's yet to make his season debut. He had a chance to be the opening-night starter, so McGruder could find himself back in the rotation. He likely won't have fantasy value, though.
Feb 21 - 4:16 PM

Kelly Olynyk (shoulder) is listed as doubtful for Friday against the Pelicans.

So that means the All-Star break likely wasn't enough for Olynyk's shoulder to get right after the injury on Feb. 5. Olynyk played a whopping 40 minutes in the game prior to injury and he was taking minutes away from Hassan Whiteside. Olynyk being out should open up a few extra minutes for Whiteside, James Johnson and Bam Adebayo.
