Yoan Moncada went 2-for-3 with a walk as the White Sox's leadoff hitter Monday against the Indians.

That'll push his ERA back up over .300. Moncada was hitting .269/.358/.492 on this day a month ago, but his OPS is down from .830 to .703 since then. The White Sox will remain patient, and there's good reason for fantasy owners to hold tight as well.

Odubel Herrera hit a three-run homer in the Phillies' defeat of the Cardinals on Monday.

Herrera took Miles Mikolas deep after the first two batters reached in the bottom of the first inning. He added a single in the bottom of the fifth, finishing the night 2-for-5 with three RBI and one run scored. The 26-year-old outfielder fell into a slump toward the end of May, but he has picked it up again in a big way. Herrera is now slashing .293/.351/.464 with 10 home runs and 39 RBI in 68 games this season.

Nick Pivetta struck out 13 batters over 7 1/3 innings Monday in a no-decision versus the Cardinals.

Philadelphia wound up winning the game in the bottom of the 10th, on walk-off two-run double by Aaron Altherr. Pivetta was sharp, yielding only four hits -- two of them solo homers -- while setting a new career-high in strikeouts. He's sporting a 4.08 ERA, 1.18 WHIP, and 94/22 K/BB ratio in 79 1/3 innings (15 starts) this season. Up next is a road start against the division-rival Nationals.

Miles Mikolas allowed four earned runs over five innings Monday in a no-decision against the Phillies.

It was one bad inning that sunk Mikolas again on Monday, and this time it was the bottom of the first. He gave up a leadoff single to Cesar Hernandez, issued a walk to Rhys Hoskins, and then served up a three-run homer to Odubel Herrera. Carlos Santana followed with a single and was eventually driven in by Andrew Knapp as the Phillies batted around in the opening frame. Mikolas settled in from there, but the damage was done. He'll try to avoid a similar hiccup in his next start on the road against the Brewers.

Monday's game between the Dodgers and Cubs was postponed due to rain and a limited power outage at Wrigley Field.

The two sides will play a day-night doubleheader starting at 12:05 PM on Tuesday. Monday's scheduled starters, Tyler Chatwood and Kenta Maeda will presumably be pushed back to start the first game on Tuesday.
Jun 18 - 10:59 PM

Aaron Altherr hit a walk-off two-run double in the bottom of the 10th inning Monday as the Phillies beat the Cardinals 6-5.

He entered the game in the top of the eighth after Nick Williams got hit in the nose by a ball that ricocheted off the wall in right field. Altherr struck out in his first at-bat in the bottom of the eighth, but with two runners on in the bottom of the 10th he laced a line drive into left field that Marcell Ozuna couldn't snag. It rolled to the wall, allowing Rhys Hoskins to score from first base and Carlos Santana to race around all the way from first. Altherr has mostly struggled this season, but he does have 31 RBI in 65 games.

Jefry Rodriguez will make his first career start on Tuesday against the Orioles.

The 24-year-old hurler appeared in one game out of the bullpen for the Nationals this season, striking out three over 4 2/3 scoreless innings against the Braves. He owns a 9.5 K/9 over 13 starts at Triple-A this season and could be worth a look as a deep league streaming option on Tuesday.
Jun 18 - 10:35 PM

Giancarlo Stanton finished 4-for-5 with two RBI in the Yankees' win over the Nationals on Monday.

Stanton plated the first run of the game with an RBI single in the top of the first inning before adding an RBI double in the top of the seventh. The 28-year-old slugger is batting .254/.329/.485 with 16 home runs, 39 RBI, and 43 runs scored in 69 games this season.
