Doug Martin (knee) is inactive for Week 3 against the Falcons.
Roddy White (hamstring) is inactive for Week 3 against the Bucs.
Jerricho Cotchery was added to the Panthers' injury report Thursday, getting in a limited session with a thigh issue.
Cotchery likely tweaked something in Thursday's practice. It's unlikely to hold him out for Week 3, where he'll be a touchdown-dependent WR5, as usual.
Vikings released WR Jerome Simpson.
Simpson's three-game suspension for violating the league's substance-abuse policy was set to end on Monday, but it was revealed Thursday that he was busted on marijuana and alcohol charges in July. Simply stunning immaturity from a 28-year-old receiver who's dealt with various legal issues throughout his NFL career. Simpson is a competent deep threat, but has had trouble staying on the field thanks to his bans. Considering the current climate for NFL troublemakers, he's unlikely to find a new home any time soon.
Roy Helu (knee) is practicing in full for Week 3.
Helu is ready to rock for Sunday's game against the Eagles, where he'll be an RB4 as the Redskins' passing-down back. Helu is worth a bench spot in standard formats, but isn't in the starting conversation outside of PPR leagues.
DeSean Jackson remained out of Redskins practice Thursday.
D-Jax was limited to stationary-bike duties. He's expected to test his shoulder on Friday, and remains on track for Week 3. Jackson will be a boom-or-bust WR3 with Kirk Cousins making his first start in place of Robert Griffin III.
Shane Vereen (shoulder) remained limited on Thursday.
Vereen has had durability issues, but there's been nothing to suggest this is anything more than the Pats' standard injury-report games. Vereen is fine for Week 3, where he'll be a borderline RB2 against the Raiders' ragged defense.
Julian Edelman (back) remained limited in Thursday's practice.
As is often the case with Patriots injury report designations, there's nothing to see here. Edelman is fine to fire up as a WR2 for Week 3.
