Jerry Jones said DE Demarcus Lawrence will undergo back surgery this offseason.

Just as he did a year earlier. Lawrence led the team with eight sacks in 2015 but only had one this past season. The former second-round pick is heading into the last year of his rookie contract. Jones also mentioned that DT Cedric Thornton will undergo offseason shoulder surgery.

Alex Marvez of The Sporting News reports Mike Nolan is interviewing for a job with the Saints.

Remember him? The former 49ers coach was out of the league last year following a one-year stint as the Chargers' LBs coach. The Saints may view him as a replacement for Joe Vitt, who was fired as LBs coach shortly after the season. Nolan was also up for the role of Jaguars' LBs coach but recently withdrew his name from consideration.

Eagles GM Howie Roseman said Carson Wentz will have input on the team's offseason acquisitions.

"We want to make sure that he’s on board with some of these things," said Roseman. "Probably more in free agency than in the draft, because it’s hard for him to get caught up on the draft prospects." It's rare for a rookie quarterback to have this much pull, but it's clear the Eagles will do anything to keep Wentz happy. Wentz is developing nicely, but the Eagles need to surround him with more weapons. Having Jordan Matthews, Nelson Agholor and Dorial Green-Beckham as the top three wideouts isn't going to cut it.

Speaking at the Senior Bowl on Tuesday, Redskins coach Jay Gruden said he fully expects impending free agent Kirk Cousins to re-sign with Washington.

"We fully anticipate Kirk coming back" were his exact words. Most signs point to Cousins returning to DC, but it won't come cheap. Cousins bet on himself this year and boosted his stock with another terrific season. He should command over $20 million annually, which seems to be the going rate for top signal-callers. The Redskins could use the franchise tag again if the two sides can't agree to a long-term deal.

Raiders GM Reggie McKenzie said extending the contracts of Derek Carr and Khalil Mack is a top priority.

"Those two guys are not only great players but they are great men," said McKenzie. "They are true Raiders and I want to make sure we do the best that we can to make sure that they stay Raiders." Carr is entering the last year of his rookie deal while Mack will have two years remaining when Oakland picks up his fifth-year option. Carr's absence was felt during the playoffs as rookie Connor Cook struggled in a lopsided loss to Houston. The Raiders have over $46 million available in cap space. That should give them more than enough to sign both players to long-term deals.

Updating a previous report, Karlos Williams has just one game remaining on his 10-game suspension for repeated violations of the league's substance abuse policy.

That means he'll be eligible to return in Week 2, which obviously improves his chances of making the 53-man roster. Williams was signed to a reserve/futures contract on Monday after spending most of the year on Pittsburgh's practice squad. Williams scored nine touchdowns for the Bills in 2015 but was cut the following offseason after failing a drug test and showing up to OTAs about 30 pounds overweight.

According to Sports Illustrated's Albert Breer, the Colts have requested to interview Ravens assistant GM Eric DeCosta for their opening at GM.

The Colts list of GM candidates keeps growing longer. Chiefs Director of Football Operations Chris Ballard, Seahawks Co-Directors of Player Personnel Scott Fitterer and Trent Kirchner, Vikings assistant GM George Paton, Colts interim GM Jimmy Raye III and Packers Director of Football Operations Eliot Wolf have all been linked to the vacancy left by fired GM Ryan Grigson. DeCosta is close friends with Colts coach Chuck Pagano, who served as the Ravens' defensive coordinator when DeCosta was the team's Director of Player Personnel.

In an interview with NFL Network's Rich Eisen, Todd Gurley called his 2016 season a "nightmare."

"It was definitely a tough year, a learning experience for me," said Gurley. "To be 4-12 this year? I don't want to feel that feeling again." Gurley famously called the Rams a "middle-school offense" after getting blown out by the Falcons in Week 14. The 22-year-old was the talk of the NFL after his breakout rookie season but imploded behind a porous offensive line in 2016. Hiring wunderkind head coach Sean McVay was a good start, but the Rams aren't going anywhere until they add more talent on offense.
