Josh Donaldson (calf) will begin a minor league rehab assignment Monday with High-A Dunedin.

May 22 - 2:20 PM

Athletics prospect Matt Olson picked up four hits on Sunday for Triple-A Nashville.

Two of those hits went for extra bases, including his 10th homer of the season. A 2012 first-round pick, Olson has seen his stock decline in the past few years, but he's bounced back nicely in 2017. He's going to strike out a ton, but he might draw enough walks and hit enough bombs to compensate. Keep an eye on Olson going forward, he might be a potential steal.
May 22 - 2:17 PM

Pirates prospect Steven Brault pitched seven shutout innings on Sunday for Triple-A Indianapolis.

Brault scattered three hits; walking one and striking out four in the outing. The left-hander has excellent control, and there's three usable pitches in his left arm. He's not going to be a fantasy stalwart, but he certainly has good enough stuff and command to pitch in a rotation for someone.

The Padres are calling up infielder-outfielder Carlos Asuaje, reports FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal.

The Padres haven't confirmed. Asuaje, 25, appeared in seven games with the Padres last season and was batting .222/.335/.319 with one homer and 20 RBI over 39 games this season with Triple-A El Paso. He has mostly played second base in the minors, but he also has experience between third base and left field.
May 22 - 2:10 PM

Phillies prospect Ben Lively threw six shutout innings on Sunday for Triple-A Lehigh Valley.

In those six shutout innings, Lively gave up just five hits, walked no one and struck out nine. The no walks aren't surprising, as he's put just five hitters on base via walk the entire season. He doesn't have elite stuff, but he should throw enough strikes to pitch in the back of a rotation. Whether or not that makes him fantasy relevant is another question.
May 22 - 2:07 PM

Cubs prospect Mark Zagunis went 3-for-5 on Sunday for Triple-A Iowa.

One of those hits was a homer, which was his seventh of the 2017 campaign. A former catcher, Zagunis has seen his stock improve every year, and it's largely due to his impressive plate discipline. He's not an elite power prospect, but he has enough pop to hit 15 to 20 homers a season. When you combine that with his on-base skills, that's a good fantasy prospect. Now it's just a matter of figuring out where he can play in the Cubs loaded system.
May 22 - 2:01 PM

Phillies prospect Scott Kingery went 4-for-5 with two homers on Sunday for Double-A Reading.

Kingery also scored four times. A 2015 second-round selection, Kingery has been sensational in the Eastern League in 2017, and now owns a 1.018 OPS. He also is a plus runner, and he's capable of stealing 20-plus bases a season. Add in his ability to play a quality second base, and you have yourself a fine middle-infield fantasy prospect. He should get a chance to play in Triple-A soon.
May 22 - 1:54 PM

Athletics prospect Jharel Cotton pitched seven strong innings on Sunday for Triple-A Nashville.

In his seven innings, Cotton didn't allow a run, gave up just three hits and struck out nine. After struggling with Oakland at the start of the season, it's nice to see Cotton pitching well, even if it is against competition he should dominate. Another start like this and we could see the right-hander back in the Oakland rotation.
