Yangervis Solarte is not in the Blue Jays' starting lineup Tuesday against the Angels.

Solarte gets the night off in favor of Devon Travis, who was recalled from Triple-A Buffalo on Tuesday despite struggling with the bat himself. Solarte got off to a red-hot start, but he's fallen off over the past two weeks, and his line on the year is now down to .260/.327/.480 with 10 homers and 29 RBI over 45 games.
May 22 - 3:56 PM

Tyler O'Neill is starting in center field and will hit fifth against the Royals on Tuesday.

O'Neill gives Tommy Pham a night off. The 22-year-old rookie has been scorching with the bat since being recalled on Friday, and has three homers over his last three games to go along with a .583 average and six RBI in that time frame.

Reds optioned INF/OF Rosell Herrera to Triple-A Louisville.

After being promoted by the Reds on April 26, Herrera hit just .154/.154/.154 over 13 at-bats in as many games.
May 22 - 3:31 PM

Reds recalled INF/OF Brandon Dixon from Triple-A Louisville.

Dixon, 26, takes the place of Rosell Herrera, who was optioned to Louisville on Tuesday. Assuming he gets a chance to play, Dixon will make his MLB debut with the callup, as he's spent the last eight seasons in the minors; the last three in the Reds organization. He does offer some power and above-average speed, but he probably won't hit enough -- or play enough -- to be relevant from a fantasy perspective.
May 22 - 3:30 PM

Christian Villanueva is not in the starting lineup for Tuesday's game against the Nationals.

Villanueva gets the night off, so Cory Spangenberg will instead man the hot corner for the Padres on Tuesday. The 26-year-old third baseman has been struggling with the bat as of late, but still owns a solid .876 OPS with 12 homers and 26 RBI over 40 games with San DIego in 2018.
May 22 - 3:19 PM

Rays placed 2B Joey Wendle on the paternity leave list.

Wendle will be replaced on the 25-man roster by top infield prospect Willy Adames. On the year, Wendle is hitting .288 with a homer, three stolen bases, and 11 RBI over 125 plate appearances. He should be back in three days.
May 22 - 3:14 PM

Rays recalled SS Willy Adames from Triple-A Durham.

Adames will take the place of Joey Wendle, who is being place on the paternity list. The Rays will have Adames hit the ground running, as he's starting at shortstop on Tuesday and batting fifth against Chris Sale and the Red Sox. He had been excellent in the 2018 season for the Durham Bulls, slashing .311/.387/.466 with four homers in 40 games. The 22-year-old shortstop is a smart hitter who will draw his share of strikeouts, but compensates with walks. He also makes hard contact all over the field, and there's some power in his right-handed bat, too. There could be an adjustment period, but the talent is here for Adames to succeed at the MLB level.
May 22 - 3:08 PM
Ian Happ - OF - Cubs

Ian Happ is not in the starting lineup for Tuesday's game against the Cubs.

The outfield for the Cubs against Trevor Bauer and the Indians will be Kyle Schwarber, Albert Almora, and Ben Zobrist getting a start in right. Happ has struck out 54 times in 39 games, but still is slashing .254/.361/.509 with seven homers.
