The Miami Herald believes it's "clear" Knowshon Moreno is the Dolphins' lead back over Lamar Miller.

Reporter Armando Salguero believes it's true "even if Miller is the player being introduced with the starters." Salguero came to the conclusion after parsing OC Bill Lazor's Monday presser. "(I) feel very good about (Miller's) ability to be productive," Lazor said. "But if you're talking about the preseason games, his production needs to improve." We might not get a definitive answer until Sunday's opener against the Patriots, but all signs point toward a committee. It's just a matter of who is the lead back, and who's the COP.

Profootballtalk reports suspended Browns WR Josh Gordon is still considering suing the league.

Per PFT, the decision will come "in the next day or two." Any lawsuit would reportedly include a request to "block the suspension pending the outcome of the case." A source previously told the Cleveland Plain Dealer that Gordon would have "no shot" at having his ban overturned in court. He's still extremely unlikely to take the field in 2014. He's a wasted roster spot in re-draft leagues.

Jaguars second-round WR Allen Robinson (hamstring) remained limited in Monday's practice, but said he'll "definitely" be ready for Sunday's opener against the Eagles.

Specifically, Robinson said he'd be ready for a "role" against Philly. That means his snaps will be limited after missing the entire preseason, but Robinson should get up to speed in a hurry. For now, he's the Jags' No. 4 receiver, but he should eventually pass UDFA Allen Hurns.

Titans waived K Travis Coons.

An undrafted rookie out of Washington, Coons was cut loose to make room for veteran Ryan Succop. With the state of the kicker position unsettled across the NFL, Coons could get another shot this season.
Sep 1 - 2:24 PM

Titans signed K Ryan Succop, formerly of the Chiefs, to a one-year contract.

Succop was released by the Chiefs on Saturday in a cost-cutting measure, though he was just 22-of-28 (78.6 percent) on field-goal attempts last season. 80 percent is considered the "acceptable" threshold. For his career, Succop is an 81-percent kicker. He'll be a lower-tier fantasy option for the Titans' unpredictable offense.
Sep 1 - 2:20 PM

Bears RT Jordan Mills (foot) is expected to be ready for Sunday's opener against the Bills.

Mills was held out for the entire preseason as he completed his recovery from foot surgery, but resumed practicing on August 20. "If I had to (play), I would have," Mills said of August. "I'm very ready." A 2013 fifth-rounder, Mills was among the league's poorer right tackles as a rookie.
Sep 1 - 1:53 PM

Texans signed S Danieal Manning.

Now 32, Manning tried to make the Bengals this summer, but was let go at final cuts. He returns to Houston, where he started the first six games last season before breaking his leg. He should be the first man up behind D.J. Swearinger and Kendrick Lewis, and perhaps even push for Lewis' starting gig at free safety.
Sep 1 - 1:16 PM

Chargers signed DL Ricardo Mathews.

Mathews spent the past four seasons in Indianapolis, but was among the Texans' final cuts over the weekend. He provides depth behind Sean Lissemore along the Bolts' thin middle of the line.
