Ryan Raburn will be placed on the bereavement list Sunday.

Raburn was listed as the starting left fielder in Saturday's lineup but was scratched after hearing of his grandfather's passing. He'll be available off the bench against Arizona, though his mind is understandably elsewhere. The 36-year-old utility player has hit .266 with two homers and six RBI over 64 at-bats this season.

Brandon Phillips (hamstring) is out of the Braves' lineup Saturday against the Dodgers.

When asked if the Blue Jays would consider shutting him down for the season, Aaron Sanchez (blister) said "absolutely not."

Sanchez has had an immensely frustrating season while battling chronic blister issues. Blisters seem to be on the rise across baseball, an issue teammate Marcus Stroman attributes to the league's use of "juiced" balls. Sanchez, who was just placed on the disabled list for the fourth time this year, is hoping to strike up a text message conversation with Dodgers starter Rich Hill, who has also struggled with blisters in the past. The right-hander led the AL in ERA last year but has made just eight starts in 2017.

Orioles GM Dan Duquette said the team discussed a long-term deal with Jonathan Schoop over the winter.

Obviously nothing came of it, but Duquette said the team plans to revisit those talks at a later date. Schoop has had a breakout year for the Orioles, leading the team with 20 homers and 67 RBI. He was also the Orioles' lone All-Star representative. The 25-year-old is under contract through 2019, so there's still plenty of time for the sides to work something out.

Chad Bettis (cancer) will make his next rehab start Sunday for Triple-A Albuquerque.

He'll log between 60 and 65 pitches. The right-hander will make another start for the Isotopes on Friday and is expected to throw about 80 pitches in that outing. After that, he should be ready to join the Rockies' rotation. Bettis looked sharp in his first two rehab appearances, allowing just one run over 4 2/3 innings for Double-A Hartford. The 28-year-old missed the first half of the season while undergoing treatment for testicular cancer.

Justin Turner (illness) is not in the Dodgers' lineup Saturday against the Braves.

Turner is feeling under the weather, though manager Dave Roberts said he'll be available off the bench and should return to the starting lineup on Sunday. Logan Forsythe will man the hot corner in his place and hit fifth against Braves hurler Julio Teheran. Turner has hit .304 with a homer and three RBI since the All-Star break.
