Josh Phegley - C - White Sox

Josh Phegley is batting .333/.400/.651 with 10 home runs and 28 RBI through 34 games at Triple-A Charlotte.

Phegley is having a breakout year offensively and currently leads the International League with a .651 slugging-percentage. The White Sox would ideally wait until mid-June to promote Phegley to avoid Super 2 status, but they might not be able to resist calling him up for much longer with Tyler Flowers and Hector Gimenez struggling.

Mark Teahen - 3B - Rangers

Rangers signed INF Mark Teahen to a minor league contract.

Teahen was granted his release from the Diamondbacks on Monday and became a free agent. The veteran infielder hit .211/.318/.254 in 22 games at Triple-A Reno and will continue to serve as organizational depth.

Derek Lowe - R - Rangers

Ranges released RHP Derek Lowe.

Lowe cleared waivers and was granted his unconditional release. The 39-year-old right-hander posted a 9.00 ERA in 13 innings with the Rangers and will look to continue his career elsewhere rather than accept an assignment to Triple-A Round Rock.

Adam Eaton - OF - Diamondbacks

An MRI of Adam Eaton's left elbow revealed no structural damage.

Eaton suffered a sprained UCL in March and has been dealing with renewed soreness, but managed to avoid a serious setback. However, it's still going to be a while before he returns to the Diamondbacks. Eaton is expected to need 2-3 weeks of strength and conditioning before he's cleared to resume a throwing program.

David Ross - C - Red Sox

David Ross (concussion) will begin a rehab assignment Thursday with Double-A Portland.

Ross has been out since May 11 with concussion-related symptoms. Assuming he avoids a setback, he'll rejoin the Red Sox on Friday against the Indians.

Sean Nolin - S - Blue Jays

Blue Jays prospect Sean Nolin is expected to start Friday against the Orioles.

A sixth-round pick in 2010, Nolin has a 1.17 ERA while striking out a batter per inning this year at Double-A New Hampshire. Chad Jenkins had also been a candidate to start, but will likely be sent down in a corresponding move. Nolin has just six starts above the High-A level and is not a recommended streaming option in fantasy leagues.

Hiroyuki Nakajima - SS - Athletics

Athletics activated SS Hiroyuki Nakajima from the 15-day disabled list; optioned him to Triple-A Sacramento.

Nakajima is still working his way back from a hamstring injury he suffered late in spring training. His 20-day rehab window expired on Wednesday, so the Athletics are keeping him in the minors.

Jesus Sucre - C - Mariners

Mariners purchased the contract of C Jesus Sucre from Triple-A Tacoma.

Sucre, 25, has a .302/.371/.321 batting line in 14 games as a part-time Triple-A catcher. Mike Zunino still needs development time, so the Mariners are promoting Sucre to replace the struggling Jesus Montero.
