Chris Archer held the Red Sox to one run in six innings but did not get a decision in a game his team eventually lost.

He burned through the first five frames unscathed before the Red Sox nipped him for a run on a double-play grounder in his final inning of work. Archer allowed four hits and three free passes while striking out six in the quality start. It has been an up-and-down season for the Rays' ace but he is trending in the right direction. He is 3-3 with a 4.68 ERA and 1.33 WHIP after 11 starts.

J.T. Realmuto went 2-for-5 and drove in the game-tying run as the Marlins came back in the ninth inning to win 2-1 over the Mets on Wednesday.

He singled to center to plate pinch-runner Yadiel Rivera with the tying run, then came around to score the game-winner on a Starlin Castro single. The young catcher missed the first month of the season but has been one of the best fantasy catchers in the league since returning to action. He has a .316 batting average with six home runs, 16 RBI and 18 runs in 30 games.

Leury Garcia exited Wednesday's game against the Orioles with a left knee sprain.

Garcia exited after going 0-for-2 with a walk, and he also stole two bases. Trayce Thompson took over for Garcia in left. Garcia be reevaluated by doctors on Thursday morning, and we should know more about his availability going forward shortly after.

Brad Ziegler allowed a hit but no runs in the ninth inning to snare a save versus the Mets on Wednesday.

He surrendered a one-out single to Adrian Gonzalez but was able to slam the door from there to protect a 2-1 lead. Somehow Ziegler has yet to blow a save in nine chances despite an 0-3 record and 6.55 ERA. He's not your typical closer because of his low-80's fastball, low strikeout rate and extreme groundball profile. The Marlins will likely keep giving him save chances in the hope of building his trade value so they can flip him for a prospect this summer.

Dan Straily gave up just one run over six innings but didn't stick around long enough to earn a decision against the Mets on Wednesday.

He served up a solo dinger to outfielder Brandon Nimmo but that was the only dent in the scoreboard. He struck out five batters, walked three and allowed four hits. His record holds at 2-0 with a shiny 3.12 ERA and not-so-shiny 1.38 WHIP after five starts. He missed the season's first month with right forearm inflammation.
May 23 - 10:34 PM

Brandon Nimmo went 2-for-3 and drilled a solo home run for his team's only run of the game in a loss to the Marlins on Wednesday.

He took starter Dan Straily over the wall in the fifth inning. The Mets couldn't get much going tonight, snaring only six hits total in the ballgame. Nimmo is having a very solid season at the plate and has played his way into steadily increasing playing time as a result. He has a nice .259/.423/.469 slash line with three homers, six RBI and 16 runs scored in 104 plate appearances. He began the season as a bench player but is now starting everyday in the outfield.
May 23 - 10:30 PM

Jeurys Familia coughed up two runs in the ninth inning to blow a save and take a loss against the Marlins on Wednesday.

He was called upon to protect a 1-0 lead and got the first batter to ground out, but then he surrendered a single and a double to put the game in jeopardy. J.T. Realmuto followed with an RBI single to tie the game with Derek Dietrich getting nailed at home plate trying to score a second run on the play. Familia then intentionally walked Justin Bour before giving up another RBI-single to Starlin Castro for the go-ahead run. It was a rare bad outing for Familia but his job as closer is still rock-solid even though he's blown four saves already. He has a 2.35 ERA with 13 saves.
May 23 - 10:24 PM

Jacob deGrom punched out eight batters while firing seven shutout frames but had to settle for a no-decision as his team lost to the Marlins on Wednesday.

He left the game with a 1-0 lead but the Marlins came back to win in the final frame. DeGrom scattered four singles and two walks in the gem outing. His record holds at 4-0 with an awesome 1.54 ERA and 0.99 WHIP after 10 starts. He has 77 strikeouts and 16 walks in 58 1/3 innings. He lines up for two starts next week, facing the Braves and Cubs.
