David Price (elbow) will make his season debut Monday against the White Sox.

Orioles released OF Henry Urrutia.

May 25 - 4:45 PM

Indians placed OF Lonnie Chisenhall on the 7-day concussion disabled list.

May 25 - 4:44 PM

Thursday's game between the Reds and Indians has been postponed due to rain.

Mike Clevinger and Tim Adleman had been the scheduled starters. Presumably, they'll be pushed back a day. The game will be made up July 24 at 7:10 PM ET.
May 25 - 4:40 PM

Matt Andriese scattered six hits over eight innings Thursday in the Rays' 4-0 shutout of the Angels.

Andriese had a decent April (3.86 ERA), but it came without the kind of peripherals that boded well for the future (22/10 K/BB, 6 HR in 28 innings). This month's 2.67 ERA has come with a better 30/11 K/BB ratio and three homers allowed in 30 1/3 innings. He's a decent play in mixed leagues with starts against the Rangers and Mariners next week.
May 25 - 4:39 PM

Daniel Wright was lifted after allowing four runs -- two earned -- in 4 1/3 innings Thursday in a loss to the Rays.

Wright was making a spot start today in place of Alex Meyer. He'll probably be sent back to Triple-A prior to Friday's game.
May 25 - 4:35 PM

Colby Rasmus drove in all four Rays runs with a single and a double Thursday against the Angels.

Rasmus has fanned 28 times in 71 plate appearances since coming off the DL, but he's still been productive, batting .246 with five homers and 14 RBI in 19 games. His performance mirrors the Rays' offense as a whole to this point of the season; the team is on pace to blow away the MLB record for strikeouts in a season, but it's still scoring runs at a pretty good clip.
May 25 - 4:34 PM

Luis Valbuena went 0-for-4 in the loss to the Rays on Thursday, dropping his average to .167.

Valbuena did just fine in his first 10 games back from the disabled list, but he's 2-for-35 with no extra-base hits since. The Angels also aren't getting anything from Jefry Marte, so perhaps C.J. Cron will rejoin the team soon.
