An X-ray has revealed that Luis Valbuena has a sprained left big toe.

Valbuena has been dealing with the ailment for a while and finally underwent tests. He's not in Monday's lineup and is being listed as day-to-day. Marwin Gonzalez is filling in at third base.

Joe Panik is not in the Giants' lineup Monday.

He's just receiving a day of rest. Joaquin Arias is at second base in Panik's place.

Brandon Crawford is not in the Giants' lineup Monday.

It appears to simply be a day of rest. Ehire Adrianza is handling shortstop while Crawford sits.

Lucas Duda is absent from the Mets' lineup Monday.

It's a day off for the slumping Duda, who is hitting just .170/.282/.250 since the beginning of June. Michael Cuddyer is at first base, with Kirk Nieuwenhuis covering left field.

Ben Revere (hamstring) is back in the Phillies' lineup Monday.

Revere hadn't played since last Wednesday, in part due to a minor right hamstring ailment. The speedy outfielder is expected to be traded this month.

Adrian Gonzalez (hand) is back in the Dodgers' lineup Monday.

Gonzalez had to exit Sunday's game after being hit on the right hand by a pitch, but he escaped with merely a bruise. The first baseman sports a .291/.366/.518 batting line with 15 homers and 50 RBI this season.

Jacoby Ellsbury (knee) will be activated from the disabled list on Wednesday.

Ellsbury missed a few games during his rehab assignment last week due to fatigue in his legs, but he went through simulated game activities on Monday and the Yankees were apparently happy with what they saw. The outfielder has been on the shelf since mid-May with a right knee sprain.

Dexter Fowler has been moved down to the No. 7 spot in the Cubs' lineup on Monday.

Chris Coghlan is batting leadoff, where Fowler has hit in 72 of his 74 starts this season. The move down in the order comes as no surprise, as Fowler his batted just .158/.217/.250 over his last 21 games to drop his season line to .228/.305/.374.
