Wednesday's game between the White Sox and Orioles will start at 2:05 p.m. ET.

For safety reasons related to the ongoing protests in Baltimore, the game will be closed to the public. In addition, the Orioles announced that this weekend's series against the Rays, which was previously going to take place in Baltimore, will be moved to Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida. However, the Orioles will serve as the home team for those games.

Dalton Pompey is not in Tuesday's lineup against the Red Sox.

No official word from the team yet, but Barry Davis of Sportsnet writes that he might have injured his neck on Monday. We should know more about his status soon. Josh Donaldson will bat second for the Blue Jays on Monday while Kevin Pillar, Danny Valencia, and Michael Saunders will start in the outfield.

Yankees recalled RHP Chase Whitley from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.

Whitley was called up to make a spot-start Tuesday night against the Rays. He's not a recommended fantasy option outside of AL-only leagues and will likely be sent back down after the game.

Yankees optioned INF Gregorio Petit to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.

Tuesday's starter, Chase Whitley, will take his spot on the active roster. Petit, 30, was batting .208 (5-for-24) with three doubles and five RBI over 13 games with the Yankees this season. The Yankees don't figure to go without a backup middle infielder for long, so it's possible that Jose Pirela (concussion) could be activated soon.

Nationals recalled RHP A.J. Cole from Triple-A Syracuse.

With Max Scherzer (thumb) pushed back, the Nationals considered using Tanner Roark for a spot start Tuesday against the Braves, but they ultimately opted for Cole to pitch in what will be his major league debut. Scherzer is expected to be fine in a couple of days, so Cole will likely be sent right back down after the game. The 23-year-old posted a 2.40 ERA and 10/1 K/BB ratio over his first 15 innings in Triple-A this season.
Apr 28 - 2:32 PM

Rockies prospect SS/2B Trevor Story had another huge game on Monday, going 3-for-4 with a pair of home runs and five RBI for Double-A New Britain.

Story, 22, has been on a tear to begin the season, as Monday’s three-hit performance pushed his batting line to .397/.494/.714 through 18 games, and he now has 10 extra-base hits, 19 RBI, four steals and an improved strikeout-to-walk ratio of 19/12. He split the 2014 season between both middle-infield positions, but this year he’s seen time at shortstop almost exclusively. Story will always have some swing-and-miss to his game, but he makes lots of hard contact and possesses above-average power. Should he continue down this path and maintain his improved approach, then it’s possible that Story could receive his first taste of the major leagues later this year.
Apr 28 - 2:31 PM

Nationals optioned RHP Rafael Martin to Triple-A Syracuse.

The move clears a spot for Tuesday's starter, A.J. Cole, on the active roster. Martin allowed seven runs (five earned) in five innings over four appearances since being called up to the big club earlier this month.
Apr 28 - 2:29 PM

The Dodgers plan to call up Enrique Hernandez from Triple-A Oklahoma City on Tuesday.

The corresponding roster move isn't yet known. Hernandez, who was acquired from the Marlins in the Dee Gordon deal over the winter, batted .248/.321/.421 over 42 games as a rookie last season and can provide some depth between the infield and the outfield.
