Reggie Bush (ankle) insists he'll be "ready to go" for Thursday's game against the Bears.

Bush said the same thing last week, but apparently means it this time. We do indeed expect Bush to suit up for the Lions' annual Thanksgiving classic, but he won't be more than a middling FLEX play. Bush's production has declined this season, while he'll be at risk of re-injury.

Bengals placed RT Andre Smith on injured reserve with a torn triceps, ending his season.

OL Jamon Meredith has been signed in a corresponding roster move. The move officially ends an injury-plagued and ineffective season for the sixth-year first rounder. Smith is still only 28 (in January), however, and signed through next season. He'll undoubtedly rebound in a contract year. Marshall Newhouse will man Andy Dalton's right side for the rest of 2014.

Speaking Monday, Riley Cooper blamed his decreased snaps on walk-year WR Jeremy Maclin's contract situation.

"Maclin's trying to get a contract, so he's probably not going to try and come out of the game," Cooper said. Maclin was not amused, responding "that was not a very smart thing for Coop to say." Cooper later claimed he was kidding, and tried to make amends. "Maclin, I guess, is a lot better player than me, so he doesn’t have to sub. I guess I should have said that yesterday." Maclin has dominated this season, while Cooper has wheezed to a 39/425/1 line.

ESPN New York confirms Jets coach Rex Ryan is planning to stick with Michael Vick at quarterback for Week 13.

The New York Daily News had a similar report Tuesday morning. Vick was depressingly bad in Monday night's neutral-site loss to the Bills, and has just 17 completions over his past two starts. With the Jets' season long in the gutter, it's a bit surprising they aren't giving Geno Smith another looksee over the year's final five games. It's hard to believe Vick will last under center through Week 17.

Speaking Monday, Redskins coach Jay Gruden hinted Robert Griffin III will be on a very short leash against the Colts.

"Well, we want to beat Indianapolis," was Gruden's response when asked how long RGIII will be allowed to settle in. "We want to win every game. And I have to put the people in there who (are) gonna help us win those games." Gruden went on in the same vein. It's crystal clear RGIII is now at weekly risk of in-game benchings. He's barely even a viable QB2.

Bucs signed TE D.J. Williams and TE Cameron Brate.

WR Marcus Thigpen has been waived. The fact that the Bucs have signed two tight ends can't be considered a good sign for Austin Seferian-Jenkins' (back) Week 13 status. Williams appeared in nine games between the Patriots and Jaguars last season, catching zero passes.

Bears CB Kyle Fuller (knee) and WLB Lance Briggs (groin) could be game-time decisions for Thursday's game against the Lions.

Fuller is dealing with a "minor" MCL sprain. It would be extremely surprising were he able to suit up on the short week.

Brandon Marshall (ankle) remained limited in Tuesday's practice.

The Bears are just limiting their veteran wideout's reps on a short week. He'll be ready to rock on Thanksgiving in Detroit.
