Patriots signed WR Griff Whalen.
The Pats needed a warm body at receiver after Danny Amendola suffered a high-ankle sprain. Whalen can run routes out of the slot and contribute on special teams.
Jared Goff (illness) returned to practice Thursday, getting in a full session.
Overwhelmed and overmatched in an undermanned offense, Goff is our No. 32 quarterback for Week 14.
Sammy Watkins (foot) has increased his practice reps.
Watkins' foot injury has been described as a matter of pain tolerance, and he's apparently getting used to it. Watkins played 49-of-72 snaps in Week 13, a rate more than high enough to make him an upside WR3 against the Steelers.
John Brown (illness) returned to Cardinals practice Thursday, getting in a limited session.
Brown will likely play against the Dolphins, but coach Bruce Arians has said he'll be limited to 20ish snaps going forward. Brown is dealing with complications from his sickle-cell trait.
Dolphins DE Mario Williams (ankle) didn't practice on Thursday.
He's trending in the wrong direction after getting a limited session in on Wednesday. Jason Jones would play a bigger role if Williams sits out against the Cardinals in Week 14. Jones is coming off a two-game suspension for violating the league's substance abuse policy.
Darren McFadden (elbow, NFI) said he'll need another week before he's ready for game action.
McFadden has been practicing with the Cowboys' scout team this week. All signs point to him returning against the Buccaneers in Week 15. McFadden won't have any fantasy significance playing behind Ezekiel Elliott and Alfred Morris.
Will Fuller (hip) was a full participant at Thursday's practice.
It's an upgrade after being limited on Wednesday. Fuller has shown signs of life recently with 119 yards on nine catches over his last two games. He'll carry a six-game touchdown drought into Sunday's matchup with Indianapolis.
Browns RG John Greco believes his right foot injury is a Lisfranc sprain, and that he'll likely require surgery.
Injured in Week 12, Greco would be facing a 12-month timetable if he needs a Lisfranc operation. The veteran interior lineman is signed for $975,000 next season. He turns 32 in March.
