Joique Bell managed 48 yards on 19 carries and one catch for a loss of two yards in the Lions' Week 12 loss to the Patriots.
Bell was ineffective, but dominated touches in Detroit's backfield as Theo Riddick finished with only five. Since a slow start to the season, the Patriots' run defense has stiffened up in a major way recently, and the Lions' run blocking cleared next-to-no lanes in Sunday's defeat. Expect Bell to remain a solid RB2/flex play when Detroit takes on the Bears on Thanksgiving Thursday.
Isaiah Crowell rushed 12 times for 88 yards and two touchdowns in Cleveland's Week 12 win over the Falcons.
Tom Brady completed 38-of-53 passes for 349 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception in the Patriots' Week 12 win over the Lions.
Surgical in a spread offense the Patriots designed specifically to attack Detroit's stout defensive front, Brady found Tim Wright for touchdown throws of 4 and 8 yards in the first half. Brady's lone slip-up was a red-zone interception early in the third quarter intended for Rob Gronkowski. Tom Terrific didn't take a single sack on Sunday. Brady has now topped 300 passing yards in 63 career games, tying Dan Marino in the NFL record books. Shredding even the league's best defenses these days, Brady has reemerged as a top-shelf fantasy QB1 after a painfully slow first month of the season. The Patriots visit the Packers at Lambeau Field next in a potential shootout.
Darren Sproles rushed six times for 25 yards with one touchdown and caught three passes for 14 yards in Sunday's Week 12 win over the Titans.
Marquess Wilson caught 1-of-3 targets for 10 yards Week 12 against the Bucs.
Both of the missed targets were drops by Wilson, though one of the throws was barely above his shoelaces. Clearly the fifth option in an inconsistent passing game, Wilson has zero re-draft value. He is still a great dyanasty stash.
Rob Gronkowski secured 5-of-10 targets for 78 yards in the Patriots' Week 12 win over the Lions.
Gronkowski's receiving line was affected by the Patriots' significantly increased usage of No. 2 tight end Tim Wright, who was a near-full-time player in Sunday's game against Detroit. Wright scored first-half touchdowns from 4 and 8 yards out, TDs that would normally go to Gronk. Tom Brady attempted a third-quarter red-zone pass for Gronkowski, but had it picked off by Lions S James Ihedigbo. Expect Gronkowski to rebound when the Patriots travel to Lambeau for Week 13.
Matt Ryan completed 27-of-43 passes for 273 yards, two touchdowns and an interception in Atlanta's 26-24, Week 12 loss to the Browns.
Ryan also lost a fumble. It was a highly uneven performance, but one that had the Falcons in line for a victory until coach Mike Smith once again forgot how to manage the clock. As usual, Ryan took a beating behind the Falcons' patchwork offensive line. His pick was a ball he force fed to Julio Jones that was easily nabbed by Browns CB Joe Haden. It was not an electrifying day, but one that's mostly been Ryan's ceiling this season. He'll be a low-end QB1 when the Falcons host the Cardinals in Week 13.
Trent Richardson rushed 13 times for 42 yards and one touchdown in the Colts' Week 12 win over the Jaguars.
Boom Herron ended up getting the start over Richardson, out-touching him 17-13 and out-gaining him 96-42. However, Richardson was the one who got the goal-line carry in the third quarter for the one-yard touchdown, while Herron fumbled in the red zone earlier in the first half. Still, the Colts didn't go away from Herron, who showed impressive burst, hitting holes with authority -- unlike T-Rich -- and getting upfield. Richardson role remained unchanged from previous weeks, even with Ahmad Bradshaw done for the year. Richardson remains a low-end RB2/FLEX.
