ESPN's Chris Mortensen reports Chip Kelly will meet with Bill Belichick after missing out on the Jaguars' offensive coordinator job.

Kelly was believed to be a strong candidate for the coordinator job in Jacksonville, but coach Doug Marrone decided to stick with long-time ally Nathanial Hackett. That leaves Kelly without a job, but Mortensen thinks New England is a "logical landing spot." Kelly and Belichick have a long-standing football relationship which goes back to Kelly's time at Oregon. It would not be surprising to see him land there.

Impending free agent Cordarrelle Patterson said he felt wanted by the Vikings this season.

Patterson said he "didn't feel wanted" by Minnesota during Mike Zimmer's first two years in charge and was focused on "trying to get out." Patterson had a change of heart this season, likely in no small part because he actually had a role on offense, and now wants to stay. Price will likely determine if the Vikings feel the same way, but they should be interested in keeping around a guy who has led the league in kick return average three of the last four seasons.

Tom Brady has thrown 19 touchdowns and zero interceptions in six games against the Steelers with Mike Tomlin as the head coach.

Brady has also averaged 314.8 yards per game and owns a passer rating of 127.5 in those contests. This Steelers defense is better than some of the units Brady has faced in the past, but that kind of success is at least worth noting. With both Aaron Rodgers and Matt Ryan likely to be higher-owned, Brady could be a somewhat sneaky option in DFS this weekend.

Seahawks signed OL Robert Myers to a reserve/future contract.

A fifth-round pick of the Ravens in 2015, Myers spent all of 2016 on Seattle's practice squad after bouncing around the league as a rookie. Bob Condotta of the Seattle Times reports the Seahawks plan to give Myers a shot at right tackle this offseason, which is the position he played in college. Still, he is unlikely to crack the final roster.

Pro Football Talk believes Falcons director of football operations Nick Polk could be a candidate for the 49ers' vacant general manager position.

After both Eliot Wolf and Brian Gutekunst decided to stay with the Packers, the 49ers have to look further down their list. Vikings assistant GM George Paton would seem to be the favorite, but it makes sense for San Francisco to find someone presumptive coach Kyle Shanahan is comfortable working with. Polk, who has been with the Falcons for 12 seasons, could be that guy.

Colts GM Ryan Grigson said he "definitely" wants to re-sign impending free agent TE Jack Doyle.

This, of course, assumes Grigson will still be the general manager, but it looks like he is safe at this point. Doyle had a breakout 2016, hauling in 59 passes for 584 yards and five touchdowns. All three numbers eclipsed his career totals entering the year. Doyle is not the type of dynamic receiving threat which commands big dollars on the open market, but he should be looking for more than the three-year, $13-million deal Brent Celek landed last January.

Chiefs signed WR Seantavius Jones, OG Jordan Devey, QB Joel Stave, OT Joseph Cheek, DB Jimmy Hall, DT Cory Johnson, DE David King, LB Earl Okine, DB Julian Wilson, and FB Will Ratelle to reserve/future contracts.

Jones made some noise a couple training camps ago with the Saints, but he was waived by the Chiefs before final cuts last August. He will get another shot to latch on to the bottom of the roster, but his chances are slim. Devey saw some time on the Chiefs' active roster this season after starting nine games with the 49ers in 2015.

Cowboys EVP Stephen Jones said the team is "penciling in" LB Jaylon Smith (knee) "as a big-time contributor."

The Cowboys have been consistently optimistic about Smith's ability to return from the gruesome knee injury he suffered in the Fiesta Bowl last January. The injury resulted in nerve damage which has been slow to repair, but Smith said he is getting closer to normal. He might never be the top-ten pick he was before the injury, but it looks like Smith will at least be able to contribute. He is expected to get on the field in OTAs.
