Jets fired OC John Morton.

Morton lasted just one season in the Big Apple. According to ESPN Jets reporter Rich Cimini, Morton rubbed some players the wrong way and also had "philosophical differences" with head coach Todd Bowles. Todd Haley, who will not be retained by Pittsburgh, could be of interest to the Jets while QBs coach Jeremy Bates is the leading in-house candidate to replace Morton. The Raiders briefly pursued Morton for their offensive coordinator position but ultimately went with Rams QBs coach Greg Olson.

Tashaun Gipson (foot) didn't practice on Wednesday.

He injured his right foot in the Divisional Round against Pittsburgh. Gipson expects to play, though his status will need to be monitored throughout the week. His absence would be an upgrade for Rob Gronkowski.
Jan 17 - 5:00 PM

Mike Gillislee (knee) was limited at Wednesday's practice.

With Rex Burkhead (knee) expected back this week, Gillislee will probably be inactive even if he's healthy for Sunday's AFC Championship versus Jacksonville. Gillislee got off to a hot start this year with four touchdowns in his first two games but has only scored once since.
Jan 17 - 4:56 PM

Rex Burkhead (knee) was limited at Wednesday's practice.

Burkhead sat out the Divisional Round and reportedly wasn't moving well at practice last week. He's improved since then, however, and is trending toward playing Sunday against Jacksonville. Burkhead was on a tear before he got hurt (six touchdowns in his last four games) but will likely be limited in his return. Dion Lewis has solidified himself as New England's lead ball-carrier.
Jan 17 - 4:33 PM

Leonard Fournette (ankle) was limited at Wednesday's practice.

Fournette aggravated an ankle injury in Sunday's Divisional Round win over Pittsburgh. He played through it, but was noticeably less effective after he got hurt (72 yards on 12 carries before the injury, 27 yards on 13 carries after). For the Jaguars to upset the top-seeded Patriots, they'll need Fournette to be firing on all cylinders.
Jan 17 - 4:32 PM

Tom Brady (hand) was limited at Wednesday's practice.

The injury is to Brady's throwing hand. His presence at practice, albeit in a limited fashion, would suggest it's nothing serious. Brady was brilliant in the Divisional Round (337 yards, three touchdowns) but will face a much stiffer challenge against Jacksonville's league-best defense in Sunday's AFC title game.
Jan 17 - 4:30 PM

Vikings FS Andrew Sendejo (concussion) was limited at Wednesday's practice.

It's a good sign that he's practicing, but Sendejo will have to clear the league's protocol in order to play Sunday against Philadelphia. If he's unable to go, Anthony Harris will draw the start at free safety.
Jan 17 - 4:15 PM

Adam Thielen (back) didn't practice on Wednesday.

He's reportedly dealing with a lower back injury. Thielen seemed fine in the Divisional Round—he played 75-of-79 snaps in a win over New Orleans—so it's possible the Vikings are simply treating Wednesday as a maintenance day for their best receiver. It would be a shock if he doesn't suit up for Sunday's NFC title game in Philly.
