Michael Floyd caught his lone target for ten yards in the Cardinals' third preseason game.

With John Brown (concussion) and Larry Fitzgerald (knee) on the shelf, Arizona's three-receiver set was made up of Floyd, Jaron Brown, and J.J. Nelson against the Texans. Floyd's time on the field was brief, along with Carson Palmer's. Floyd should be pressing for a career year in his contract season.

Ravens RB Kenneth Dixon will be sidelined four weeks with a torn MCL, but does not need surgery.

It's good and bad news. The bad being it's going to be a while before Dixon pushes for a role on offense, the good that he isn't out longer and has avoided surgery. Dixon had a strong camp and preseason. He isn't worth stashing in 12-team leagues, but should begin the year on watch lists. Baltimore has a volatile backfield where the pecking order could change multiple times in September. The four-week timetable has Dixon returning somewhere around Week 4 or 5.

Chargers WR Tyrell Williams caught 3-of-3 targets for 36 yards in Sunday's third preseason game.

Williams has been solid in the passing game this preseason, but most importantly he has run extensively with Philip Rivers' first-team offense. While Williams' role to open the year is unclear behind Keenan Allen and Antonio Gates, it is notable that he has logged run over Travis Benjamin at times in August. Williams belongs on Dynasty rosters and re-draft-league watch lists.

Carson Palmer completed 5-of-9 passes for 64 yards, zero touchdowns and two interceptions in Arizona's third preseason game.

Both of Palmer's INTs were tipped passes. The second was housed for a touchdown by LB John Simon. Palmer took a cheap shot from DT Devon Still in the process, and appeared to chip his tooth. The Cards then held him out for the rest of the game. Palmer finishes the summer with zero touchdowns and three picks. The last time he appeared in a game that counted, of course, was the NFC Championship Game, where he gave the ball to the other team six times. Palmer remains a QB1 with elite weapons, but durability and turnovers are mounting question marks. Including the preseason, he has 13 turnovers in his past seven appearances.

Colin Kaepernick told reporters Sunday that he will "continue to sit" during pre-game National Anthems.

This assumes Kaepernick is on an NFL roster this season, and attending games at all. While it is certainly within his rights to sit when the National Anthem is played, it has caused a P.R. nightmare in San Francisco and will remain one for as long as Kaepernick is showing up on Sundays. Other teams likely now view him as toxic. It's no secret Kaepernick is disliked by teammates, even prior to the National Anthem thing. Combined with his poor play, Kaepernick's protestation could become a career-threatening decision.

Jets waived/released RB Lache Seastrunk, K Ross Martin, OL Jesse Davis, C Kyle Friend, OG Jarvis Harrison, LB Deion Barnes, DT Shelby Harris, DE Helva Matungulu, RB Terry Williams, TE Jason Vander Laan and WR Kyle Williams.

There's nary a notable name. Seastrunk is a sprinter who's probably near the end of the line as a camp body.

Jets placed WR Devin Smith on the reserve/PUP list.

This clears a roster spot as the Jets begin their first round of cuts. The 37th overall pick in the 2015 draft, Smith tore his ACL in December last year and was always expected to go on reserve/PUP, costing him the first six games. Despite his high draft status, Smith is a fringe hold in Dynasty leagues.

Cardinals CB Mike Jenkins left Sunday's third preseason game with a severe right knee injury.

He was carted off and could be seen slamming his fist on the cart en route to the locker room. Jenkins appears likely to miss the 2016 season.
