Ian Desmond went 2-for-4 with a homer and two runs batted in on Tuesday in a loss to the Dodgers.

Desmond drove in his first run on a solo shot off of Brock Stewart in the second inning, and he also had an RBI single in the sixth to briefly give the Rockies a 3-2 lead. He now has eight homers and 23 RBI on the season in 47 games, and Desmond is slashing .180/.233/.377 in that time frame.

Chris Taylor went 1-for-3 with a homer and a walk in a win over the Rockies on Tuesday.

Taylor's homer was a two-run shot off of Bryan Shaw, and it gives him six on the 2018 season. The versatile Taylor is now hitting .242/.322/.432 over 47 games, and he's driven in 18 runs and stole two bases in the process.

Kenley Jansen pitched a scoreless ninth against the Rockies on Tuesday to pick up his ninth save of the season.

Jansen did allow one hit -- a ground-rule double to Chris Iannetta -- but he was able to keep Iannetta from crossing and didn't allow any other runners. After his infamous struggles out of the gate to being 2018, Jansen now has his ERA down to 3.05, and his WHIP drops to 1.11 on the year.

Chad Bettis gave up two runs over five innings with four strikeouts in a no decision against the Dodgers on Tuesday.

Bettis really struggled in the first inning, giving up an RBI single to Matt Kemp and then walking in a run when he gave Yasiel Puig a free pass. Over his final four innings he was excellent, and he kept the Rockies in the game. Bettis needs a quality defense behind him, but he does possess a 3.30 ERA on the season along with a 1.20 WHIP. We'll see him back on the mound on Monday against the Giants.

Brock Stewart gave up two runs over four innings in a start against the Rockies on Tuesday.

Stewart allowed five hits and a walk and struck out just one, but he was able to limit the damage to just the two runs on 63 pitches; 40 of them for strikes. In three games with the Dodgers in 2018, Stewart has a 3.72 ERA along with a 1.45 WHIP and six strikeouts over 9 2/3 innings. It's not yet known when he'll pitch again, but the Dodgers don't have scheduled starters for May 28 or June 2.

Yasiel Puig homered and drove in two runs in a 5-3 victory over the Rockies on Tuesday.

Puig's homer was a solo shot off of Bryan Shaw in the sixth inning. He also drove in a run on a bases loaded walk in the first, and he reached via base-on-balls again later in the contest. Since returning from the disabled list with a hip injury, Puig has really swung the bat well, and his .221/.294/.393 line is a big improvement over where it was just a few weeks ago. When Puig is hot, there aren't many better.

Marcus Semien went 2-for-5 with an RBI and run scored in a loss to the Mariners in extra innings on Tuesday.

Semien drove in a run on an RBI single off of Mike Leake to give the A's a 2-0 lead in the fifth inning, and he scored a run on a double-play off the bat of Matt Chapman two innings earlier. Semien was almost a hero in this one, as he just missed tying the game off of Edwin Diaz on a drive that went foul in the bottom of the 10th. On the year, Semien is hitting .279/.325/.404 with five homers, 24 RBI and four stolen bases in 48 games.

Mike Zunino hit a two-run homer in a victory over the Athletics in extra innings on Tuesday.

Zunino's homer gives him seven on the year, and this was a two-run shot off of Trevor Cahill that tied the game at 2-2 in the top of the seventh inning. While he's not hitting for much average (.231 on the year) Zunino is starting to show the impressive power that made him a fantasy star over the second-half of the 2017 season, and his line is up to .214/.260/.449 over 27 games on top of the seven homers and 17 RBI.
